I'm fully expecting them, should the change be rejected, to do what AA suggested the rest of us do and return their season passes.

Well done CTWD - you have won the argument hands down, lets hope those who make the decision take notice. It will be a disgrace if they don't.

It was a disgrace that Andy Carroll's red card wasn't overturned by the FA, but there you go.

I dont normally coment on the name change stuff as I'm still a bit undecided on it all, I do read articles and watch vids though, to help with my final choice.
This vid might have swung it though.

It's ironic that the pro name change cadre has repeatedly claimed that CTWD are a minority and yet the responses on this thread don't seem to reflect that. Strange given that there is no threat to the person and so you would expect this to be the very place for the pro name change supporters to articulate their views and show their strength in numbers.

I suspect a more accurate description of the pro's would be "anti CTWD". There are probably 2 further groups to consider. Those who genuinely don't care about the name change, and those who would rather the name didn't change if it was up to them, but they won't stop supporting the team if it does change. Personally I don't think the latter 2 groups should be vilified.

At the monent I'm the last group, and as a seperate protest group it would have no use, I still support ctid whilst being in this sub group.

I don't see how anyone cannot care about the name change, they remind me of appeasers who stood by and said nothing about Hitlers March through Europe, there cannot be any fence sitting you are either for or against, Allam knows that the don't care lot are are probably against but they won't say anything.

That leaves the vocal few who are always counted as a minority and Allam uses that as his basis for the pro name change. Good job the appeasers view before war started was not taken as fact or we would be all taking German now.

No one in the media has yet to side with Allam, they all know he is wrong, let's hope the FA know as well

Sorry but you're an idiot if you can compare the renaming of an East Yorkshire football team with the rise of the holocaust.

Who mentioned the holocaust can't you read.? I was comparing the fence sitters who sat back and watched Hitler March through Europe and said nothing, if you are supposed to care about something and someone tries to change it, do you A say nowt and let it happen, or B protest to try and stop it

Hitler's march through Europe was directly linked to the Holocaust. You know, the whole rounding up of the Gypsies, Gays, Jews, and disabled?

Maybe war was not the best analogy but this is what I was try to say

Appeaser; To pacify or attempt to pacify (an enemy) by granting concessions, often at the expense of principle.

In other words don't upset Allam or he will walk so let him do as he likes.

Except that using the term appease is as if you're suggesting that those in favour of the name change do so in the hope that they can prevent Allam from doing anything worse if they agree to it. Thus the apparent analogy with WW2, where the Allies appeased Hitler hoping that if they let him take Poland he'd stay out of their backyard. Just kind of stunk of a historical ignorance.

The crowd and narration were all recorded at Brantingham Park , Hull Ionians, two weeks ago.

Really pleased that the vast majority of comments are positive. I have to agree the final version brought a tear to my eyes and a lump to my throat.

Thats because my Dad took me to City when I was 7. He died on 22nd Jan 2011, almost exactly two years before we recorded the voice over and the shots innthe stands.

I'd have loved him to haved lived to see his eldest son and Grandson narrate it!
