A player must have been registered in the 25 man squad when the first match was played to be able to take part in a replay. By selling 3 of that squad we reduce our options.
You don't have to have the same match squad, but you can't include anyone who wasn't registered with the club at the time of the first match. I think.
Sorry. Should have read to the end of the thread before posting - you had already answered Madness' question.
The man in the middle is Mr Swarbrick. please log in to view this image Mr Swarbrick's first Premier League appointment was in December 2010 when he took charge of a goalless draw between us and Sunderland. I do believe the next time we saw him was in our 1-0 win at Sunderland in the first game of this season.
Fairly predictable half. Tankovic looks very assured and for me has been our best player. Not a lot to get too excited though. What is very clear though is that Dempsey should never have gone back to the US he looks a shadow of the player he was. Rodders is not very good, playing too deep again not on the shoulder. Lots of possession again in the middle of the park but not enough intelligent movement ahead of them. Sheffield utd still look dangerous on the counter attack..
Not knocking Sheff U but they are div 1 and at the wrong end of the table, why is it still nil nil? This isnt me being arrogant but we should be ahead. Lets not forget they played with 10 men in the first leg and they bloody scored first. I am not buying the 'its difficult playing against 10'. Not good enough. Get Dempsey off and stick someone with some pace in there.
Interesting to see Kasami up front, at least duff looks like he wants to gee everyone up a bit. Keane got it right at half time, there is simply no desire from too many players. For the first time I am beginning to wonder if meulensteen is losing the dressing room. As for rodders, get a life mate, you are not making it hard for the manager, show some desire and passion on the pitch, not when you are sitting in the dugout
Agreed fulhaman, we should get their right back brayford, he has been superb over both fixtures. By the way, who is the co commentator, he is so much in favour of Sheffield United it is untrue. Thought it was true to start with but now he is simply doing my head in.
I thought it was bad enough watching the rubbish in the bottom division in 1993, but this is Dire Dire Dire Dire Dire Dire Dire Dire Dire Dire Dire Dire Dire Dire Dire Dire Dire Dire Dire Dire Dire Dire Dire Dire Dire Dire Dire Dire Dire Dire Dire Dire
' is that a penalty, he has got his hand on his chest stopping him getting through........ I don't think so ' - co commentator MUG
This is very similar to that. Not having a striker on the pitch just exacerbates an already weak attack. Can someone explain to me why we are playing Dempsey? He doesn't improve our team (in fact he actively harms it, since we have to shoehorn him in) and will be leaving in three weeks. And why oh why are we so resistant to the idea of playing players in their best position. Seriously, I am sick of seeing Kasami out on the wing.
Yeah agreed surly, Dempsey has lost is mojo, he used to swarm players and you always thought he might score. Not anymore. Not making excuses but Sheffield United should have had a player sent off and we should have had a penalty.
There was a close up of a Fulham supporter doing his fruit about 20 mins ago. Thought has just crossed my mind was it Rosc?
Mitroglou must be wondering what the hell he has done watching this. Champions league last 16 to dismal, cold, windy fa cup clash
Well that was to be expected really. I am so sick and tired of watching this rubbish. If we played well and lost then that's except able but to play with so little fight and passion.
