Swanseas board ****ed up - for the first time this season I'm a pessimist regarding Premier League survival. Doesn't anybody but me see this as a consequence of injuries, crazy fixtures in the beginning and in the middle of the season and the European campaign????
Along with 10 other teams - btw stay off my thread I don't have time for you WUM. Maybe it's your bad karma that has spiolt the season to begin with...
Best renew your season ticket then Dai....back your confidence by supporting them in person next year as well.
Monk was a great servant to this a Club. Remember his block at Wembley so let's not belittle his contribution to the Club.
The Board were caught between a rock and a hard place. The team has been struggling for some time, and relegation is a possibility, not a given, but it could happen. So,what do they do? Sit back and let the boat sink, thereby incurring everyone's wrath? Had that scenario played out they would have been vilified by all and sundry for not taking positive action. A decision had to be made, and they have had the guts to take it. Laudrup has looked washed out and somewhat disinterested for some time,so his removal comes as no surprise to me. West Ham was the final straw. The Board had to act. We all love Michael Laudrup, and having him linked to our team will be talked about for a very long time. However, all good things must come to an end,and I'm sure he is well aware of this. In a few months time we will know if the Board have made the correct decision, but at least they did make one,and for the right reasons. The players' now need to get their act together and ensure Premier League football at The Liberty next season.
My issue with the board, is that Huw said we needed to act on the uncertainty surrounding the club, you do not do that by calling out Sunderland saying they got the date wrong on the Ki contract, to find out they were right. Nor do you go out and buy Emnes and N'Gog to "bolster" our squad. Sorry, but the only uncertainty for me is the actions of th board, and I personally blame them for how things have turned out.
Great post Libertarian. Very mixed feelings seeing him go but they had to stick or twist. Chris Wathan on a Wales on Line virtually endorsing the decision. I was all for keeping him but it was apparent that things had gone sour behind the scenes.
Nah.....I have had enough now let the younger guys buy my seat. Ill pay for a ticket now and again when i feel like next season, I have Seen all the lows and all the highs and enjoyed every minute whether it was with a few thousand jacks or where we are today....nobody can take away those memories....
No you're not but a few lone posters wont make a difference now , well it's either going to go pete tong or not, time will tell . My concern is not the management but the players who came to play for Laudrup rather than the club , regardless who (as most on here want to see ) is running up the line waving his arms and screaming non sense to players who will either be professional enough to go for their win bonus or have they accrued enough money to forgo that privilege and not take a blind bit of notice we'll have to wait and see. Shabby and amateur in the extreme. The board could have made their move long before now but prevaricated and decide today the timing was right .
Can we arrange a sweep to see how long it is before Dai calls for Monks head on a platter? I'll say 4 games
