Looks like martin fulop is on his way then . Possibly to some turkish side . Not too fussed never been a great fan of his anyway . Trouble is there are not too many good keepers available . Dont think we have had a half decent keeper since neil sullivan . Could it be time to see what barrett can do as first choice . Thoughts . Coyb

    Neil Sullivan? Surely Neil Alexander?

But point taken, Fulop never did it for us (although I think he is the best we have), but I do not want to see ALB as first choice. Whenever he plays I find myself cringing in the hope he doesn't bugger something up, and his kicking is not the best. If Fulop leaves, we have to invest in a new first-choice 'keeper. Always liked Westwood from Coventry, but I'm sure he's destined for better things.

Isn't Politt available on a free? He'd be better than Fulop. And Sullivan.

Alexander was a good shot stopper but his height lets him down.

I'm trying to think of a worse Ipswich Town keeper than Fulop, but I cant!

    Andrew Marshall

    Matteo Sereni (at Times)

Richard Wrights 2nd Spell for the club

those are just three, I think he's been half decent, when he plays well he's amazing although when he plays badly he is a liability. Certainly not one of our finest No. 1's

Really?! I actualy quite rate Fulop. Am i the only one? He's a great shot stopper, like all keepers at this level he makes the odd mistake but is still decent for the championship.

We would have been a lot lower in the table with ALB in goal (he can't keep goalkicks in play half the time).

If Fulop was to go then I suggest Scott Loach of Watford, He is an Ipswich lad. When asked on twitter if he would come to ITFC he said

"boyhood team, wud b a dream to play there one day. So that's all I can say lol"

Not that Watford would let him go without a fight.

I for one think he is a very good keeper, but i can imagine he is on very good wages and i think that is the reason he will be on his way as he will not get another contract on those favourable terms.
I think Keano had to pay over the top for some of his "friends" to play for us.

If that is true about Scott Loach, then we should definitely go for him!

Very promising, already fantastic keeper, and with Ipswich being his boyhood club, he will obviously give his all to try and get us up!

Scott Loache the glovesman at Watford

In Town's youth academy 10 years ago before moving up to Nottingham.

Has stated that he would love to play for Town as he is a keen supporter!

£4m bid for Scott Loach. Everyone bangs on about strikers being the main asset of a team. I don't agree and think it's the goalkeeper. It's a specialist position, every error is magnified in its importance i.e. a striker misses = goal kick but goalie misses save = goal down.

The greatest teams have always had a quality goalkeeper. Build from the back and we'll be better for it. Get Scott Loach in!!!!

Agree with blue monkey, keeper is an important position and one we need to make sure is taken of before the first day of the season. Will ALB be good enough if he plays enough games, I'm not sure. If you don't concede a goal you can't lose a match.
