No it doesn't. It's a ridiculous article pushing that borderline racist nonsense that Asians are so stupid they'll buy anything with a tiger on it. I take it you've forgotten what the esteemed Marketing Week had to say on the matter? "Much of the “marketing theory” being quoted by Mr Allam is, quite frankly, nonsense, but the one area he has completely failed to grasp is brand engagement." http://www.marketingweek.co.uk/opinion/branding-goes-to-hull-in-a-handcart/4008852.article Allam has admitted he read one article, and only the first page of it, which convinced him of this daft idea. It wasn't even about shortening names in sport. It was about investing in stock. Even though he fails so badly at it?
BUT.....I'm not pro name change.....so why would I do that ? Its just not such a big deal to me Also Leon.how can you make a wild claim that CTWD represent every Hull City supporter when only 1700 bothered to join.
As others have said the video brought a lump to the throat and a tear to the eye.Sincere thanks to all who have worked so hard and given their time so freely to make our campaign so professional .
Can anyone else get these docs up? Seems like the website is really slow to load them and just times out but it could be just my end I suppose.
I meant they represent them in spirit. I know some on this forum don't support CTWD. But CTWD metaphorically 'turn the other cheek' and continue to assist in the preservation of our history for all City supporters.
Changing names in rugby and cricket brings a modern zing to things according to that master of marketing Maurice Lindsay. Maybe he will run us through the amount of merchandise sold by rugby league clubs and cricket ones in comparison to football ones, attendances compared to football ones? Any thoughts on that yourself, patty? Does the evidence suport a name change?
You may be anti-name change(or at least not all that bothered), but for some reason you're also anti-CTWD and those two positions are hard to reconcile.
Given that more people have joined CTWD in a short period than have joined the OSC in years the OSC don't deserve much attention.
I reckon this video eclipses any official product I've seen. Heartfelt and technically very proficient- certainly more so than owt the club knocks out. It's such a shame the club doesn't harness this positivity, goodwill and talent, instead of forcing people to use these attributes to oppose its ludicrous schemes.
A very well thought out and produced video, can't fault it at all. Lets hope it does the trick. Dare I say Allam has been a bit quiet recently.
I think Mr Allam would have a thing or two to say if his National Team changed to 'Egypt Camels' for example.
you really are mentally subnormal. ctwd represents all those who oppose the name change and all those who signed the petition. your ridiculous claim is like saying political parties don't represent the people who vote for them but just their members. you are the very definition of "hard of thinking". why not get clear off and support your local team? middlesbrough should be just about far enough if filey town don't appeal.
I'm being picky but why does Allam always get a title? If it isn't Dr it's Mr. Seems to be giving him more respect than he deserves. I can see why the Allam willy-lickers would use it but why do other people use it? We don't talk about Mr Bruce, Mr Aluko, etc.
