With fourteen games to go top scorers as follow: 1.Suarez (Liverpool) 23 goals 2.Aguero (Man City) 15 goals 3.Sturridge (Liverpool) 14 goals 4.Toure (Man City) 12 goals 5.Remy (Necastle) 11 goals I strongly believe the golden boot is going to one of the above. It would be a surprise if the winner is not from the above. It's Suarez's to lose. He has an 8 goal head start with 15 games to go, some of which Aguero will miss. Leaves Sturridge as the only one that could potentially get close imo. Think it's more a case of can he beat the record of 32 in 1 season.
Hopefully, this! ^ Will Sturridge finish higher than Aguero? He has some time whilst Aguero is recuperating, so he must have a chance. SAS top two places?
Suarez. Would like to see him pop a couple in over the next couple of games though. Gone off the boil a tad.
only 3 contenders really for me, suarez,Aguero and Sturridge, out of them hopefully we will have the winner. could add negredo as an outside bet. so basically liverpool and city strikers, the rest are ****e
If you balance Aguero being injured against the period Suarez was banned then they will probably end up playing about the same amount of games in the prem ( assuming neither picks up a further injury or ban) so it will be a good comparison.
Suarez will get golden boot but won't break record. Now that Studge is back I can see him netting more than Suarez in the finishing games since he is playing higher... he won't close the gap on Suarez enough to take boot from him... but with Suarez in more of a support role don't think he will break 34
with injuries etc we are looking at really aguero not challenging Suarez has dropped of the astronomical heights i think. he won't break it unless he gets 3 hat tricks or something
this is the table 1 Luis Suarez Liverpool 23 2 Sergio Agüero Manchester City 15 3 Daniel Sturridge Liverpool 14 4 Yaya Touré Manchester City 12 5 Loïc Remy Newcastle United 11 6 Olivier Giroud Arsenal 10 6 Jay Rodriguez Southampton 10 7 Eden Hazard Chelsea 9 7 Romelu Lukaku Everton 9 7 Ãlvaro Negredo Manchester City 9 7 Wayne Rooney Manchester United 9 7 Robin van Persie Manchester United 9 8 Aaron Ramsey Arsenal 8 8 Danny Welbeck Manchester United 8 9 Charlie Adam Stoke City 7 9 Christian Benteke Aston Villa 7 9 Wilfried Bony Swansea City 7 9 Edin Dzeko Manchester City 7 9 Adam Johnson Sunderland 7 9 Adam Lallana Southampton 7 9 Rickie Lambert Southampton 7 10 Samuel Eto'o Chelsea 6 10 Steven Gerrard Liverpool 6 10 Yoan Gouffran Newcastle United 6 10 Oscar Chelsea 6 no way in 14 games is yaya getting 12 goals... really the question is if you think aguero will be back in time to out score suarez by 9 goals. really if you give suarez 10 goals in 14 games you'd be saying 34 is possible but..... he needs a few hat tricks
I think he's just about got it wrapped up already tbh. With Agueros injury issues and only 14 games remaining he has set himself out above the rest.
Don't discount Welbeck from climbing up there and snatching top spot I heard he's even taking over penalty duties to get some extras
conversely it would be positively sinful for a side having the TWO top scorers in the league to fail to get even 4th... think about it.
