Good stuff if it's true, I alway's thought Didi would make a great manager one day. Midfield general's like him nearly alway's make good manager's.

The guy was a true great at Liverpool in my eyes. Someone like Didi would always be welcome back.

One memory that will live for me forever is the famous Didi volley- those that cant remember it, or for those that wanna see it again, check the link:

the article doens't say he is just that there was talk so this may be premature but trust me we need far more footballing brains in the club.

rafa basically stripped them all out and that medical staff malarchy under hodgson was a joke.

there were 2 keeping coaches cos mike kelly was one, roy and lee and then about 20 miedical staff thinking footballers with boo boos ought to rest... result 19th in the table.

What's with all the Rafa myths today? Even his harshest critics have conceded he's the main one responsible for our current healthy youth situation after he overhauled the Academy, brought in Borrell and Segura and returned Kenny to it.

I'm not sure what the medical malarky is you refer to but Harry Kewell's agent had a blast at English doctors in the league in January 2010, blaming them for Kewell's injury-strewn career, and that was when we went looking for the best in the business, which was Doc Brukner.

thats one comment i made... what about the other good comments i made? thats taking me out of context lol.... but seriously i've called rafa a club legend only today on antoehr thread.

rafa did put in the acadmey strucutre thats for sure, he did sign a lot of kid and he probabaly lost his job by doing so much on his own as doing it all was hard to do. the seniors were where he lost it.

lets just look at my comment.

    rafa lost paco. right?

rafa brought in his mate pelligrino yeah? and gave him a clip board.

Do you think rafa had anyone with him that he really trusted and came up with any more... someone who could pull him aside and tell him he was out of his mind to sign aquilani?

I don't think he did and he suffered for it. I think all mamahers need a right hand man they can really trust to talk things over with and who won't just say yes.

Now hodgson and the medical staff.... thats a different issue and not rafa bashing. rafa put them in but mr hodgson let them run wild. Were you as sick as i was of hodgson saying the medical staff denied him a plyer or hearing ever 5 mins on the club website about the medics and thier influence and how fit the players were when they actually couldn't last 70mins?
thats the medical malarchy i talk about. there were more doctors than coaches at the club, they had undue infleunce it seemed and hodgson used them as an excuse. I think personally blaming doc waller for harry kewells periodic bouts of gout is not right.

kewell in 2006 mircaulously rose form his death bed to play for the year to get to the world cup then promplty had chroni injuries again........

I firmly beleive players are too coseted these days and guys like torres seem to form a mental reliance on the docotr...

I also beleive the doctors as they stand are required but keep them the hell away form deciding how fit a guy is to be cos they are not football me, they didn't know last year and i think they needed to learn how fit to have guys.

I beleive kenny, steve clarke and lee need more coaches to work the players not less. doctors assess them, but on the pitch in training we need to do the same... if you've about 20 medical staff but only 3 coaching staff theres an issue in terms of really assessing every player mentally and in footballing terms.

I'm happy now the doctors are off the club website and working silently. keep it that way is my view.

Bryan Robson was a managerial genius too.If only he could become Man United manager. He would then relegate the three clubs he played for seeing as he's already relegated West Brom and Middlesbrough.
