The weather won today first and formost for me. The wind spoiled any chance of a decent game even if either team would have been able to supply one anyway. It was huff and puff from both sides in the first half with Mansfield offering nothing at all and Argyle refusing to score or for the most part even have an attempt to do so.

Second half it was more even with Mansfield playing with the wind this time. Tjhey still didn;t do much and Argyle should have scored a couple of times themselves. Alessandra managed to head away from goal from a central position with nobody to beat. Reid fell over the ball a few times. Out of nowhere Mansfield scored. I think it was almost their first attempt on goal and it was not deserved at all. Problem was that after Argyle did a lot of huffing and puffing again but didn't really look like getting one themselves. Trotman somehow managed to injure McCormick prior to their goal. They had a bit of a set too which was not a good sign when it's two of your own. Bot sure what happened to McCormick but suspect it is either a broken finger or dislocated, He had to go off and Cole came on only to let one in. Given the injury to McCormick there was a fair bit of injury time. Again out of nowhere, although Argyle never gave up trying, Alessandra popped up with an equaliser. Justly deserved in my book. A point gained in the end but on play it should have been 3.

MOM for me was once again Alessandra. He is the one player who looks consistent.

Late comments tonight- just back from the Lion King which was somewhat more entertaining than the earlier football. Sensible has covered most of it except it was a Mansfield attacker who damaged Lukes hand, looks like he will be out for a month with a broken finger-strap them together and get on with it I say! I think we were lucky to get away with a point but agree the weather was the only winner really. Reid was awful and needs a rest- no one impressed at all. Not sure i agree with Alessandra st your MOTM but i guess he was one of best of a mediocre bunch of performances.
The two bookings for Trotters and Luke was probably the biggest talking point- looking forward to a match where the weather isn't the biggest factor!

apologies - i am informed that it was Trotters that broke Luke's finger (accidentally of course).

A month for a broken finger!!!! Back in the day keepers played on with a broken neck let alone a poxy finger. Not our weakest position for back up although Coles vampire syndrome, allergic to crosses, is a worry.

Very good mex......Cole is a bit of a Jekll & Hyde player isn't he.

Not sure how long your out with a dislocated finger, depends on how severe and which finger.

Seemed to be a misunderstanding on who's ball it was (Luke's or Trotman's) and Luke had to make a last minute save...damaging his finger.

Sheridan wasn't too worried about the hand-bags between them....he was glad to see they had some passion about it.....although he cannot be pleased that they both picked up a yellow card.

Was expecting a win there yesterday but at least we salvaged a point from it....must admit a playoff place is looking to get out of reach but not impossible and have to rely on the lot we have....cannot lure a striker to HP, that's a little worrying indeed.

hp trust me a playoff place IS way out of the reckoning for Argyle. There would have to be a few disasters above them for a remotest chance.

Not sounding good on the Luke front, fractured and dislocated with Argyle seeking expert advice from outside the club. Looks like it could be a lengthy lay off.

My Mrs broke 2 fingers at work and never took a day off.......(she reminded me of this whilst calling our keeper a whimp). Just because they have babies and things they think they are so brave don't they.

Yep but my guess is he will have. The moood changed when he came on as sub against Mansfield. An audible groan from around me and especially given how windy it was. He ain't good in the air at the best of times but when it swirls about a bit then no chance.

Cole is a great shot stopper but weak to the high ball, unfortunately with todays information sharing even a blind guide dog can see that.. few years ago he would have got away with it in the lower leagues. Bad news on Luke this certainely hasnt strengthend us but who knows the new lad maybe a star, we have a history of picking up good young keepers on loan, Miller and Nicholls(RIP), if Dawson can perform like they did I would be a happy bunny.

Amen to that one Mexi. The one position we always seem to excell in is Keeper.
