Big marker put down by Jose in that game. Chelsky are going away to their rivals and winning there. The Goons traditionally struggle to do this, and Citeh are hot and cold away.
West Ham have proved that Chelsea can still drop points. City proved that they'll still drop points. Arsenal don't need to prove that we'll continue to drop points. Interesting final 14 or so games... in fact, can't believe there's only 14 games left of the season!
Said the exact same to a mate last night, season has flown by. Kind of want it to end though, it's been a painful one for Spurs fans, even IF we get 4th which is doubtful, some of the results we've seen against us have left nightmares.
Haha, you make it sound like Liverpool and Spurs still have a chance! The reality is that the top 3 aren't really dropping masses of points and i don't see them doing so either apart from against the top teams. There will be the occassional blip (Chelsea's West Ham game) but i think they will be few and far between. Earlier in the season I and a number of others thought at injury to Giroud would derail Arsenal, but they coped with that pretty well. In reality Arsenal will continue to either steamroller teams or grind out results unless that bloody central defensive partnership of yours gets injured. Even then you'll still beat most teams via your attacking prowess. If Arsenal beat Pool this weekend i think they're in with a great shout as the confidence will be boosted further. At the moment i'd still err towards City/Chelsea, but there is very little in it. I actually wouldn't mind if Arsenal won it. In a way i'd prefer them to the alternatives
Still don't think they will win it,their squad is to small, with the C/L still to contend with,it's City for me
March April will be the test for the goons as if they are close but City and Chelsea go on a run then all of a sudden it goes from being close to a 9-10pt gap opening up but credit to them for staying in the race as at the start of the season not even their own fans believed they could challenge for the title.
But you're just unfailingly anti-Arsenal so you're always going to say that. Let's be honest... we've got 2 CL games left. Not an onerous addition to the squad. I'd quite like the FA Cup to be taken seriously. But if we win our one game in that then there's only going to be one good team left in it. Agree with Spurm though... massive game with 'Pool. A win could give us all sorts of confidence going into the United and Bayern games. A draw would be just fine as long as we beat United. A loss and I can see the start of an non-winning 4 game run.
No! At least they are run sensibly. City and Chelsea are examples of all that is wrong with football.
I could never wish for Arsenal to win a title. We've luckily had 9 years of only being gloated at due to our failure to reach Champions League spots. Can you imagine what it'll be like if they finally win a trophy that just so happens to be the league title? Would be unbearable. At least when/ if City and Chelsea win things, we can just play the "you bought the trophy/ **** club with money" cards. With Arsenal, if they win anything, there's nothing we can say apart from "**** off and gloat somewhere else you filthy gooner bastards!".
I'm not wishing for them to win, but i would prefer them to the others. I don't really care what the gloaters think
Hmmm... Might take you up on that Cini. I'm already preparing my "You're only there because of Norris" chants as we speak
I agree with you Spurm at least Arsenal secure their football in a sustainable manner and you have to say that Wenger sets them up to play football in the right way. The other two are there not because of fan support but just a pair with more money than they know what to do with.
I could just never prefer Arsenal to win anything over anyone, even Chelsea... And I ****ing hate Chelsea. Like a mate said - "When you're a Spurs fan, hating Arsenal is mandatory, hating Chelsea is just human nature". Ideally I'd "like" City to win the title but if not, begrudgingly Chelsea. My decision is probably swayed by the fact I work with a couple of gooners, my best mate and his Dad are gooners and a good few of the bar staff in my local(s) are gooners. So the grief I'd get, on top of the fact I just hate Arsenal, would be pretty much unbearable. Luckily I only know of only one true Chelsea fan and he doesn't have my number anymore, just my Twitter account, so I can block him if he got too much
Here's some brief reading to help you prepare... make sure you read all the stuff under the table http://www.blog.woolwicharsenal.co.uk/archives/1562
Yes.i'm anti Arsenal, probably because i'm surrounded by them, but i do try to be objective, and have sensible debate, whoever the team, and i think the smallness of your squad will tell
