Was looking at the prices of tickets for the gooner match at the lane next month

Stub hub allows season ticket holders to flog tickets at any price for matches...personally I don't see the difference between that and what the ticket touts do

The cheapest ticket is £115 for a ticket with a face value of £30

They then go up to over £880!

However the most expensive is down as being for £1,149,998.86 ... surely that has got to be a piss take!!!!!

On the serious side why are the club allowing some-one to sell a £77 ticket for over £880? It really is a disgrace imo

It absolutely is a disgrace. Disgusting. Sometimes I just wished that I didn't love football. And hugely wealthy clubs who pay their players hundreds of thousands a week treating fans like this is just one reason why I feel that way. Is there any online petition or anything protesting against StubHub?

this is one of the major points raised by the "enic out" group on twitter. It's hardly suprising. It's absolutely disgusting, as you have said, fellas.

    Unfortunately ENIC are parasites.
As Roo said the ENIC OUT movement are fighting this but
the club are trying to close them down.

What happened to the days where you gave your ticket away for a few drinks in return or one of your mates mates who fancied seeing a game? I suppose today you would be called a "mug" as you can make a small fortune by fleecing your own fans!

Yeah, it's ridiculous. I'm hoping the club undo this at the end of the season.

I've never accepted anything if i have had a ticket going spare...a couple of times my misses has been ill and not able to go so I gave her ticket to a mate.
But I get that you might need to get your money back but why is anyone allowed to charge more than the face value of the ticket? It has seriously pissed me off...there are well over 200 tickets for sale on stub hub...all being sold for a huge profit when they could have gone to genuine fans who weren't lucky enough to get one on the day they went on sale. The whole thing is so unbelievably soulless it's unreal

How much are people earning to be able to take their wife and themselves to two games a week?...and maybe kiddies too?Holy mother of Luis Suarez!

One way to hit back at prices would be for every fan,EVERY FAN, to not buy a ticket and miss a match/es.
    Some hopes!

I went to the Hull City league game, Hull City cup game, West Ham Cup game and have tickets to Defoes last match in late feb... all with my eldest daughter...am going to try and get a ticket for me and both my daughters for the last match of the season...
The Hull league matches cost a total of £50; Hull cup £40; West Ham cup £45, defoe match came to £30 and the last match v Villa will come to around £75...that is all I can afford... 2 league matches and 3 cup games...and I am luckier than many others

I was the same, if anything I treated it as thats a favour owed in return!

There is this guy I work with, mad manchester utd fan, gets a bus from glasgow to most home games and if he can't make it gives his ticket away to other supporters and all he asks, is for them to buy him a few pints at the next match! thats how it should be.

    U live in Glasgow?

Do you watch games in the city centre?

I moved to Glasgow last year and am missing watching Spurs with fellow fans.

I'm a bit further north. Near Aberdeen. It is different when you move away from London but have you found a decent place to watch games?

StubHub's a disgrace, the fact The Club willingly promote it is disgusting and something they should be ashamed of.

Someone I know actually emailed the club stating how awful they feel our "partnership" with them is and that people shouldn't be allowed to sell their tickets on there, Spurs replied with something along the lines of basically saying that it's only a select few that are inflating the prices of their tickets.

What makes things worse, is apparently Spurs are now monitoring the Twitter account HotspurTickets which is where fans are selling spares/ tickets to games they can't attend to others on twitter all for face value and yet the club have supposedly blocked some people's cards on admission to the Lane by looking at the twitter account's user name, seeing if it matches with their database and therefore not allowing it in to the match. Shocking.

Happy to promote the inflated selling on a tout website yet won't allow fellow fans to sell at face value.

They operate like a Police State. They have have closed down Twitter Accounts criticising any one opposing the way they run the club.
They must spend more on a secret service agents to monitor everyone than net spend on players each year.
    Free Speech?

I never realised how much attention Spurs pay to social media/ forums until now. I think I remember Spurcat mentioning someone checks this forum occasionally but after the results of what happened with the guys on Twitter, it wouldn't surprise me if they have an actual department now which is solely focused on monitoring what Spurs fans say and do on the internet and taking action if they feel necessary.

As much as I love Spurs I'd love to see some sort of protest before/ during/ after a game about how exploited and used the fans have become. The club need to hear and listen to the fans, without us, they're nothing. Constantly backing us into a corner will only work for so long. White Hart Lane as already lost it's atmosphere because of decisions made on and off the pitch, it won't be too long until I reckon some fans may start boycotting matches.

They are so out touch but more than that their ethics have to be questioned.
Whatever club's they controlled in the past , they have left with non achievement on the pitch and bitterness with the majority of the fanbase.
I will say no more in case I am shot.

This one has been suspended about 4 times and closed down .

StubHub is being blamed in part for the poor atmospheres at the Lane as well - normal fans can't afford the tickets on there so the place fills up with tourists, who if anything are the ones most likely to use the 'text snitch' service that is apparently in place and has caught out some of the Y-word chanters apparently. its a disgraceful situation for this club to actually encourage. When the partnership was started up I remember there were promises that the prices would somehow be regulated....well this is clearly not happening.

I haven't seen Spurcat post on here for a few days, I wonder if he's been subjected to a gagging order.
