    Call me cynical but this seems awfully well-timed to lift the mood around the place. Christ knows what it means in the long run but it's a f**king start I suppose.

    I actually don't know what to think. All this will do is divert from the important point, that being that Ashley is till in charge and the abuse towards him will likely soften again now.

    Still, he'll never have to buy a drink in a Sunderland pub after his sterling efforts for NUFC.

    Hang on hang on..... Doesn't this put a different spin on things? Who knows whats going on behind closed doors at NUFC, but this could be interpreted as JK resigning in frustration at Fat Mike not letting him buy players? Why else would he quit? Confused.
