Yes but look at the reviews it's either loved or hated, I'm going to try it though as it seems good.

It's not about snails is it, RHC? Can't help but remember that's their Latin genus name. <ok>

I watched Machete. Luv was right: it was gash! How could a film where both Jessica Alba and Lindsey Lohan get naked be so poor? Madness.

Also re-watched Ronin, as hadn't seen it for a while, and downloaded Heat for the same reason. <ok>

I'll try, Luv. Watched some more Coen brother's films and [yet again!] you were right. They aren't all like O brother. Watched Miller's Crossing and Hudsucker Proxy without realising they were Coen brother films; first one was great the second not bad at all. My rankings of all the Coen brother films I've seen are as follows:

    Miller's Crossing
    Fargo
    Raising Arizona
    The Big Lebowski
    True Grit
    Hudsucker proxy...

    [Big gap]

    ...The Lady Killers...

    [Another gap]

    ...O brother.

I've also downloaded No Country for Old Men and Blood Simple and I'm thinking of trying Barton Fink, too. Any other recommendations, Luv, as you seem to be the resident Coen brothers expert? Also, how would you rank the above films and possibly their others? Quite interested, as an exercise in the subjectivity of film appreciation. <ok>

    No Country For Old Men
    Fargo
    Blood Simple
    The Man Who Wasn't There
    O'Brother Where Art Though
    Finding Llewyn Davis
    A Simple Man
    Intolerable Cruelty
    Miller's Crossing
    Burn After Reading
    Hudsucker proxy
    Raising Arizona
    True Grit
    The Lady Killers

    How's that?

  12. When I got in from work last night, I watched the whole second and third series of Inbetweeners. I then watched Sunday's Top Gear at 5am before being almost an hour late to work <diva>

Cheers, Luv. I clearly need to watch a few more <laugh>. Where would you put Barton Fink in that list?

Oops, I'd go after Millers Crossing.

It's hard to rate them as they cross so many different types of films, I like the films where their humour comes out but No Country was superb and I'm a fan of the book. Burn After reading was so silly but also so funny I imagine that list would change a lot depending on the mood your in.

I've been watching that. Missed the one yesterday but seems quite good so far. Not sure how they're going to string it along for 13 episodes though.. just hoping the middle bit isn't dragged out. The music they chose to play for the titles just does not suit the programme at all though

It's on Channel 5 over here.

Wow True Detective is brilliant, I've watched 2 and about to watch a 3rd. Is this taking TV to another level?

It's awesome right? Heard that each season will be different though, new cast, etc, hope that isn't true.

I know who I am. And after all these years, there's a victory in that.

    Update:

    Miller's Crossing
    Fargo
    Raising Arizona
    The Big Lebowski
    No Country for Old Men
    Blood Simple

    True Grit
    Hudsucker proxy...

    [Big gap]

    ...The Lady Killers...

    [Another gap]

    ...O brother.

Also watched a horror film called Session 9. It was pretty good and had a sort of Stir of Echoes feel about it.

I'll also have to look into True Detective due to the current buzz on here. <ok>

Watched the film 'Her' last night, bit girly.

Want to see the new Robocop even though it's **** by all accounts.
