Chelsea look really good against Man City tonight. Hazardd looked world class. Sorry.................
Missed the game but happy they won. I support a London club over a Manchester one any day. Even Chelsea.
It was a very, very good game. Top class. Great attacking skills from both, and equally impressive hard but surprisingly fair tackling, and good defending from both sides.
Very good match to watch as a neutral - final result could have been 3-0 as they also hit the post a couple of times.
Looking at David Moyes' managerial record at Old Trafford, it beggars belief that Manchester United failed to even approach Jose Mourinho discreetly when Alex Ferguson was considering retirement.
Mourinho definitely won the battle of the managers, which in turn had the Chelsea players in a more pro-active frame of mind. Mourinho started his work earlier in the week with the mind games, took all the pressure of the players by saying City were the title favourites and so on, while quietly building his teams morale and had them primed and peaking for the game. End of story. In the battle of the managers, a star team will always beat a team of stars.
Saw City play Spurs last week (yes I know...but the ticket was free), they were incredible, free flowing, exact, fast, so confident. I was predicting that they possibly would go through the rest of the domestic season at least unbeaten. So was really staggered to see them lose....I think Aguerro gives them a confidence that cannot be replaced. (I hope that is not the same as us and Charlie). I have to also say, terry is playing out of his skin...I bet the ****** comes out of retirement for the World Cup
I'm glad they won because I want to see (don't burn me for saying it) the gooners win the league, I think it would great to see someone else win and I like Wengers philosophy even if it doesn't pull regular silverware.
Had make out i was supporting chelsea as its my wife's team but she does like the Rss, thought that was a complete performance from chelsea totally over run citeh, that was a 1nil thrashing.
I also think that was a great result, never saw the game, always back a London side over the Manc's but love to see Arsenal win the title, if not, Chelsea second choice. Anyone notice that we have 3 London teams in the top 6 and 3 in the bottom 4 and then I asked myself the question how long, if ever in my lifetime, will it take to be part of the top 3?
Without Aguerro & Fernandinho City were not quite as intimidating as they have been and when you look at both team's benches Chelsea really looked stronger. A lot of teams are beaten before they go to the Etihad, maybe now other teams will see City have weaknesses that can be exploited, after all Cardiff, Villa and Sunderland beat them earlier in the season...
I hope not Beth, he may be playing well but his personality will wreck any chance England have of getting out of the group. His presence alone is probably enough to poison the squad, although I wouldn't put it past him to get near the winning team and help lift the trophy!
District, are you reading this? All this 'love' for Chelsea on the QPR board!! Agree re the Arsenal comments. Would like to see them win the PL.
