This game is depressing me - seeing the likes of Yaya Toure and Matic in midfield is making me jealous.

 

Too right. We badly need a powerhouse in our midfield. Should be our main priority but we seem to be after a winger!!

 

If Chelsea can hold on to their lead they become the title favourite.

 

How good is Matic! I would have loved him at LFC!

I think Rodgers does want a DM/CM but the targets simply weren't available - which is understandable. Frustrating! But understandable.

 

LFC aside... this game is coming down to details.. cheslea have the midfield while dimichelas is playing for city. you can see why they wanted two player in january.

Its all closing in now.. things are heating up... cheslea could have it dead and buried but city are now coming back

After last weeks games and City thumping Spuds (Honestly who hasn't done that ) All the pundits were calling the Man City forward line 'The best in the world'. Clearly that only refers to when Aguero is playing, cause the rest look average.

Again, how ineffective is Toure? Six/Seven games I've watched City play this year and he's done nothing in each of them. I've criticised him last season plenty and continue to do so...coincidence that every time I watch him he does nothing of note - unless it's a freekick from nowhere? Even now he watches Wilian and Oscar run past him whilst he jogs back...lazy git. Only looks decent when there's a strong midfielder next to him to do all the leg work, all the defensive work and all the pressing.

They'll really missing Aguero

 

I've said the same before. When he's half arsed, he's a monster. Clearly missing Fernandinho.

 

That city team looked crap. Nastasic in defence, long haired Argentinian in midfield. Chelsea just had better players on the pitch.

 

City struggled to get going but credit to Chelsea. Typical Mourinho - solid, organised and countered brilliantly. God I hate that man!!

Now that gap widens - 6 points behind them ...

 

Well that was interesting. Chelsea played as well as they can. City failed to show anything in midfield and no Aguero and City struggle to score goals.
