He's been going with 3 at the back. If he wants to do that against our front 3 that's fine with me. <ok>:D

we do not employ a front three its a lone striker ,five across the middle, and a back four ,this gives license for players to move forward from midfield with a holding man in front of the back four .

It's a variation 451/433 Stu. Striker with two inside forwards. Can't see us sitting deep much in the 451 at home to Hull can you?

It is a front three mate, part of Johnson's brilliant form is because he's playing higher up the pitch. Borini and Johnson are always pretty much level with the striker, even if they're not that close to each other

whatever, ,i dont mind how its done but at times again against newcastle we started once again to drop too deep and it gets the nerves jangling, dont do the heart rate any good at all, i think this game against hull is going to be a lot tougher than newcastle even though we are at home,if jack can nullify mr huddlestone it will go a long way to help with a win for us im sure ,i have a feeling that myler will try and do the same to ki for them, alonso will take care of elmo as he will be to busy with elmo doing what elmo likes doing getting forward , will jozy score mmmmm ? if it was somebody coming back to play against us it would be odds on.

I think we shafted both Stoke and Hull good and proper and I'm well happy they did. Coates and Hughes are a pair of ****ers who tried to unsettle our camp prior to the league game between us and got what they deserved with the Catts deal. **** them.

Bruce is a fat ****er who has bleated on like a stuffed pig since he was thankfully fired here but not once has he held up his hand and said his results over a 12 month period spanning 2 seasons was abysmal. I hope he takes Hull down this season just to listen to the ****e he trots out about the Hull fans not accepting him because of his roots, enormous weight, stupid fat twisted sneck or any other weekly whinging diarrhea he trots out after failure.

I'm looking forward to his 'friendly' reception too.

Agree with you about sitting deep like. Gets my arsehole going I tell you that.

Hudds is struggling for form like according to the Hull lot. Lets hope it continues. Elmo Vs Alonso should be interesting. If they play three at the back I'll be rubbing my hands like.

For anyone interested .......... more proof that some boards can't handle a bit of banter on their own boards.

The Hull posters, including mods, love coming over here dishing it out but they just can't take it.

One of them comes on here, gets his arse kicked and goes off crying to his mods to sort me out.

Here's their latest pathetic tantrum <doh>

A poll for the sad knackers to vote on ........... good grief http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/248863-Is-Smug-a-dick

Dropping deep? Do you mean the home team had a bit of possession and mounted an attempted resurgence? We are very rarely going to dominate a whole 90 mins of a derby, or any game tbh away from home. Its not a case of sitting deep its about being organised to defend the times when the opposition have their spell. At no point did I feel we would concede on Saturday as we defended brilliantly and soaked up the pressure (what little there was like) with great ease.

Hull will have their moments on Saturday coming and we will need to defend likewise again but I don't think we do sit deep under Gus. Its just that we are organised far better to cope with the fluctuations ALL games produce.

You wouldn't be a Sunderland supporter if your nerves didn't jangle at a derby match ........... I love our style, in fact it's the first time since Reid that we actually had one!

I can see Johnson having a field day against Figgy boy and I'm having £20 on Altidore.

The Hull supporters seem to be banking on the ex-Sunderland players proving a point .......... well they did at Sunderland, proved they were ****e.

To be fair we dropped deep against Stoke and Southampton and I thought I was going to have a heart attack. We dealt with it though. I expect we'll press Hull high up the pitch all the same. They'll be no push over but I expect 3 points.

Southampton will push a lot better teams than us back mate as they are a very good footballing team. The Stoke game was just us being a bag of nerves, knowing how much was at stake. The shackles and nerves were settled on Saturday and it showed. I expect that we will relax more and play well against Hull too.

I think there'll be goals in this Cest, if Hull play 2 up front they'll be launching long diagonals like Newcastle did on Saturday.

The difference is that Long has some pace and Jelavic can hold the ball up, I can see them scoring tbh.

We need to keep the ball, as we know we can, and let Hull chase around after us .......... if we get an early goal it will be a very interesting game.

I recall my insistence on allowing a football related thread got me banned but a poll attacking a person is fair game? What backward laws they keep. <doh>

It's been refreshing and a joy mate. For years I've been frustrated at managers not addressing the problems. It's bliss. <ok>
