Liam Moore is still a few weeks away. Ignasi Miquel should return to the bench but other then that everyone is fit and available. Team pretty much picks itself. So here is what I would go with Schmeichel De Laet Morgan Wasilewski Konchesky Knockaert James Drinkwater Dyer Nugent Vardy Subs- Logan, Miquel, King, Hammond, Mahrez, Phillips, Wood
No reason to change ... and therefore would not change the bench either ... so Schlupp for Miguel for me ...
There is no cover at centre half so I think Miquel getting fit asap is the only concern we have. Anything Schlupp offers we already have with other players already on the bench so he should drop out
In the words of Kevin Keegan... "I would love it if we beat them" But we all know how that turned out Whatever happens, I'm sure we'll be taught a footballing masterclass by the sides best footballing side, and I am very much looking forward to it
We are playing Watford ... Jeff had a storming game at their place against arguably their most dangerous player, Anya - plus set up the last goal with a great run ... I'd be really surprised to see Nigel leave him out for this game .. I think he'll want the insurance policy over Konch down the left ... if he needs emergency sentre-half cover due to injury, he can switch Konchesky (which we've done before) or even play King, James or indeed Wood there at a pinch ...
Wood has become very adept at keeping the ball out of the back of the net, so maybe that's not a bad shout...
... if Wes stays fit I wouldn't be too fussed about any of the ones I mentioned playing alongside him tbf ...
I'd quite like us to make a loan signing when the window opens to cover this slight injury problem, Michael Keane anyone? I know he just got sent back by Derby but I'm talking cover here, plus we know he can play with Morgan.
Don't let him know that, he'll have another fit! Same team for me, unless Schlupp is bought in to counter pace, but i cant see Pearson changing the team and disrupting the mentality, pace or not.
... he's a good prospect but was easily intimidated against us at our place with the sheep ... if we do bring in a loan signing I'd like a more 'hardened' character ... perhaps a Prem player not currently getting many games with his own club ... Micah Richards perhaps or even that Rio bloke from across Trafford park ... provided he could prove his fitness in advance, of couurse
Watford will be very much focused on Anthony Knockaert. Great chance for someone like Mahrez to come in and make an impact I would stick with Dyer in the starting line up though
Liam Moore is back in 2-4 weeks so a new signing is pointless. If we become desperate we can still recall our other sicknote Zak Whitbread
Dyer has been leggy by all accounts recently. I think we've enough to beat with Watford without him. We've got a massive game coming up away at Forest. I'd like our first XI to be raring to go.
Forest game could still get moved. If they beat Preston it gets postponed So lets hope for some Gally specials in the replay
If all are fit why change things ? Just seen the Bournemouth highlights, we were so unlucky not to win that game 4-0. Still 1-0 is still 3 pts & the goal looked in to me. To be fair quite a few of their fans say the same.
Seriously though, is he fit yet? Instead of keeping a seat in the stands warm he could heat the bench until Moore's back.
