Probably executive jets hotel expensesetc.I have never known such a shambles presumably BM has been given assurances as to his future by Meyer Lansky as for the squad I understand it will be as follows Lucky Luciano Al Copone first class finisher Michael Coleone Frank Nitty John Gotti Sam Giancana who promises to give us Marily n Monroe Carlo Gambino George Clarence with Mussolini as manager. They have stated that each team will be given an offer they cant refuse so I expect promotion followed by the champions league by next year ! Well we can all dream Mayor Lansky will be our financial director he was good at that says he cant wait to get things firing !
Not something I would like to see either, but not necessarily any worse than having Cellino in charge
How do you know. Just because he tried to sack a manager who hadn't won a game in two months.I don't agree with that either, but I'm willing to give him a chance. There are some here that have only recently stopped singing the praises of the GFH pretend outfit that did nothing of note for their twelve months here. Once again, options on the back of a very small stamp please
How do you know it is not? Just because a person has some money, does not necessarily mean that he will be great for the club. I didn't want Bates, I didn't want GFH and I don't want Cellino. And every time the argument was that we don't have any choice so we have to take this or that ****ers as our owner. So when do you think we have a choice? Never? Maybe the reason we don’t get a great owner that has the club at heart is just because of that, we don’t dare to make that choice. Have you ever thought about that?
I have a feeling the FA won't give approval for Cellino. I know there is likely a way around it, but be it a company/his family etc, he's already personally shown he's actively involved and funding the move and allowing it to go through would undermine the public perception of their authority. To our detriment or benefit, I really hope they don't give the OK. If the FA do give approval I think it'll be a dangerous precedent to set and prove that the test is just a hurdle easily circumvented by those with enough resources at their disposal. If the new combo-consortium has the funds and GFH are bowing out due to being unable to support us further, I think I'd prefer they were given the chance but Cellino must have been given priority due to the consortium's likely offering lower (more realistic) bids? Yet still, they've obviously seen the issues in the accounts and are still eager so there must be a way around it with what they have at their own disposal. As much as it'd be great to see us being financed by some rich guys pocket money, odds are rich guys, like those in the Premier League also, won't be 'injecting' their own money quite as much as you think. Rich owners generally come in, act as a guaruntor with their own wealth and loan against the club. Except on rare occasions, the only time philanthropy comes into the equation is if they don't ever intend being repaid or write off the debt owed to them. I've had enough of high reward risks with my football club. I'd much prefer we build slowly and sustainibly if it is indeed an option... The only thing we know for sure is that we're not going to have much say in the matter, which is nothing knew given the last 2 decades.
I have asked you on several occasions to explain what options we have. You've failed to put any forward so end of discussion for me
I got the reply ones but not original one from you Did any of you see my twitter last night with that Leeds fan who's bird was a Galascum fan and she was being a right Dick
The only ones with a choice to say no is whoever is currently in control. And unless we've become a supporter owned club overnight that ain't us. As fans, all we can do is try to influence those making the choices.
Afternoon all been out all day and was wondering what I would return to, what happenings, sackings or announcements but all quiet it seems.
Merseyside businessman Terry Riley was behind a dramatic bid to buy Leeds United FC, the ECHO can reveal today. Mr Riley, who owns the Ascot Property Group, was a key member of the Sport Capital consortium which attempted to buy a minimum 75% stake in the Elland Road club last week. David Haigh, managing director of Leeds, led the SC consortium but their bid reached an impasse late on Thursday night.
Chris Farnell, a specialist Sports solicitor made the fateful telephone call to Brian McDermott on Friday evening, and in a new twist, was escorted from Elland Road by Haigh and Patel, along with security staff. No doubt Farnell was only operating under instruction from Cellino, but it does show GFH-C are not certain the proposed takeover will go through.
