The real table only counts in May does it not? Don't know why your getting so wound up. I predicted we would win two nil and referred to the form guide for back up. Current form is very important in making predictions I would say
I wouldn't call that a wind up tbh. As the supporter of a team playing at home, with a great current form, against a team on level points with a poor away record I'd say that was reasonable enough. I've seen Hull posts predicting a 3-0 win etc. We've all said, on the Sunderland board, that we're nervous and expecting a very difficult game.
Pundits talk ****. Someone the other day described Tottenham's equaliser against us as 'beautifully crafted' even though it was a complete accidental shot from Rose. I wasn't at your game so I can't argue with you, but what I will say is that scorelines are far more often misleading than stats are.
This wasn't 'pundits' as you choose to call them .......... this was every single journalist including those from Newcastle. You won't find one Newcastle supporter claiming they shouldn't have lost, not one. There was nothing misleading about the result, we totally humiliated them and even their supporters say so. You can't argue.
All I know about it is that we're both nearly mid-table, but a still only good fart away from the relegation zone. We'd better beat you lot because our next three games (excl. the League Cup Final) are City (a) Arsenal (a) and Liverpool (a)
I'm not really arguing with you. I can't because I wasn't there. What I do know is that stats tell you a lot about a game and home fans in particular are very fickle. Ours are the same, if we lose at home everyone goes on about how awful we are. It's how football fans are; we're too passionate to be rational and look at why we lost. If you saw the game and felt that Newcastle's 28 shots that didn't go in were all hopeful long rangers and your 2 were actually brilliant chances which should have made it 5-0 then I'm in no position to argue and I can only accept that verdict. Even if it does seems a bit unlikely.
Honestly, I expect you to lose all of those. I'd expect the same from us. Though I hope you give Man City a good game in the League Cup final, as I'm off to it!
You'd say stats would tell you that Swansea dominated the game at West Ham with 20 shots and 65% possession ......... in reality they were absolutely ****e and never looked like scoring. If you can one shred of proof that Sunderland didn't deserve to win I'll never post on this board again.
Whilst that's a tempting offer it's obviously not possible. I'm in no position to prove or even opine either way. I've just offered facts which make your version of events seem unlikely (but not impossible obviously). I think this is being complicated by the fact I accidentally stretched one argument onto two different threads.
That's complete fantasy. I haven't attempted to prove anything or give an opinion. I've only pointed to the facts which make your version of events unlikely and you keep trying to have an argument about it. An argument which I keep telling you I'm not in a position to have.
Some bollocks being written by both sides on the last few threads, so ill just copy and paste this. 1- City played well against Spurs and were undone by a miss hit shot that fell kindly to Paulinho. Although, to be fair to him, it was one hell of a first touch and finish. Adebayor looked good, and I was happy when he went off, but City had the best chances. A team can have all the possession, but if they don't have anything on target, or make the keeper work, it doesn't matter. Neither do I care we went route 1 for our the goal. I was happy with the point. As we all should be after getting something from the bigger teams. 2- Sunderland beat Newcastle fair and square from what I've heard from Geordies in the pubs round here & MOTD on Saturday. 3- Tight match on Saturday with City coming out on top, well hopefully. I don't care about the rubbish that will fill the papers over the next few days. Mackems can boo Bruce all they want, I doubt he really gives a toss now.
'Kin Nora this fella's hard work. Where has he said that Sunderland didn't deserve to win? Fact is no one on here gives a flying f**k about your game against Newcastle. Bore off.
Who are you ......... the dimwitted self elected spokesman for the entire Hull board It's up to PLT, Macca & Golaccio! if they want to discuss the match and they did, do they have to answer to the likes of you?
First time I've seen Don Galante challenged like this in a long time. I think Doveston was the last person to confront him like that and look what happened to him. Has he been seen since the battle of Linnet and Lark?
