Anyway, it looks like this thread is spiralling out of control like so many others in the past - I'll leave it to you.

 

Well Im going to have to disagree with you Norway, times move on, and some things are best left in the past, I know as I was there and clearly PGF was not, and we do not need to resurrect that sort of garbage, if Cardiff want to then that's up to them, but as far as I'm concerned, we can do without it on here, better to debate than all this childish petty nonsense..................

Yeah about 3 yrs ago when britton decided to fook off from the Swans i said good riddence,as any player that doesnt want to play for us can do one,as i said he was and always has been my favourite player but he wanted out so fck him and any other player that does the same . so whats the point ?

As for name calling ,you people are trying to re invent the wheel, it will never stop because football is tribal, no matter how fluffy you'd all like things to be the reality is there is hatred that will never stop and there is name calling that will never stop, we all know who started it all, the jealousy over us getting to the top division and them being left in our wake created the problems ,seems some of you arnt really understanding certain aspects of football.

We would all like things to be civil but the truth is that will never happen,just get used to it,you think you can change it? well your very foolish in that case

I'm sure everyone will be behind them 100% as long as they give 100% themselves. You can't expect fans to give 100% when players give 20%.

Its pathetic when fans refer to cardiff as scum. I have never called them that name and never will...I leave that to little boys who are immature and envious of them, I never call them red tits but i can accept that as its banter but to call them scum is beyond banter...Its only football after all...

Now you've hit the nail on the head there. It's only a certain percentage though and the problem's better than it used to be, so it can be changed slowly by education over time. If you don't try you'll never achieve anything.

There's us going through one of the most trying periods in recent years and all people are worried about is that us calling them scum and them calling us gypo's is wrong and childish !!...

I really do wonder sometimes...talk about wrong priorities and so much for pulling together,which was what my origional point was all about,the fact people would rather talk about name calling kinda sums up the level of fighting spirit amongst the support .


And as for expecting the team to produce for us to get behind them,sometimes you just do it because its a labour of love, saying whats the point if the players are only giving 20% is lame as fck if yu ask me, how do you know they are giving 20% ? maybe they are trying their hardest but everything is just going wrong and confidence is totally shot ?

We saw a great atmosphere against Fulham and that helped settle the team,never under estimate what support can do,far too many people expecting to be entertained instead of taking on a supporters role these days.

If the fans give 100% to help the team then we have done all we can,there are plenty of people that would like to be there but cant , the club means alot to alot of people but the fact people rather talk about everything else other than getting behind the boys tells me everything about the modern plastic fans,something the figures prove that we have about 10,000 of so probably 50% of you on here are in that bracket thats why we are talking about swearing and that its the teams job to inspire the support.

I don't know why people get so offended if I was on the Cardiffs board I would expect the same treatment. I have family who are Cardiff fans and I call them scum to their face and they call me a bin dipper it's just apart of the football banter and that's all it is!
I understand if there was personal insults directed at someone based upon personal looks, social class, race and views. IMO the context is too general to be seriously offensive. But I guess it's subjective how offensive something is, it's qualitative and can't actually be measured.

I find it far more offensive when someone is called an idiot for having contrasting views.

So I think the mods should express the rules clearly whether calling our bitter rivals scum is acceptable or not even if it's just banter and we must respect the rules as guest users on the forum.

 

Sprucie baby - I don't believe that "name calling" is an indication of the level of support for your club - yours nor mine.

Your suggestion that it is is way off the mark. We are talking about forum rhetoric on here and the unnecessary use of offensive terms.

I'm no shrinking violet and haven't been for over 40 years following Cardiff man and boy - that doesn't mean there's any need to use terrace language on a football forum to support my team.

Although free speech for all within reason on here is an absolute right, it doesn't mean it's necessary to prove the extent of your support for your club by putting historic terrace chants into print. It only tends to antagonise and foster the hatred - that's only OK if that's the intention, and I expect it is for some.

I can give as good as I get and have done in the past - sometimes you need to grow up and let the chavs get on with it.

 

unfortunatley your not ultra sensitive like alot of the fairies are on here, its almost like half the posters here dont understand what football is all about
