Not like Steve Bruce to be full of excuses and blame other people. Oh, hang on, that's not right, is it? Former Sunderland manager Steve Bruce has accused his former club of 'mischief' on deadline day, designed to deliberately prevent Hull City from strengthening their squad. Bruce claims he was in for Blackpool winger Tom Ince, but was unable to move for him until Sunderland sanctioned Danny Graham's loan deal to Middlesbrough which was required to free up room for another domestic loan in the Tigers' squad. He told the Hull Daily Mail: Well, we couldn't loan [Ince], that's the thing. Unless something happened earlier, we might have been in the ball park. I couldn't take that risk for Incey himself. We always knew it was a loan deal. Crystal Palace got through it by buying Jason Puncheon. We didn't really have any possibility. Danny Graham didn't go through until 10.55pm." I'm sure there was ['mischief at work']. My heart bleeds, it really does. May be Bruce shouldn't have loaned Graham in the first place? I fail to see what favour Sunderland owed him. Im sure as we get closer to Sat he'll be talking about getting sacked for being a Geordie again.
The fat geordie bastard never knows when to quit does he? Always someone elses fault but his. I sincerely hope we hammer them at the weekend and he gets loads of stick from the crowd and then Hull get relegated.
Thought f*cking stoke over was funny but this just makes it magical! Poyet clearly knows how to go about his business!
What on the earth do the Hull supporters make of his never ending obsession with Sunderland I wonder When do you ever hear Poyet mention Brighton regarding the circumstances of his departure or how the supporters hated him for being Uruguayan.
Whether it was down to Poyet, Short or Byrne, well done for realising that making the run-in harder for our relegation rivals is just as good as making a top class signing ourselves (but a damn sight cheaper).
He never mentions Sunderland unless we're playing you, or signing one of your players. As this 'never ending obsession' exists only in your mind, we make nothing of it at all.
Gus has taught Bruce two things in the last week. 1) Stitch up one of your rivals with a **** striker. 2) How to win a derby match. He might also note that Gus didn't waste time bragging about the music he would choose to celebrate the derby win , he spent the time planning the derby win. I don't know why Ellis put up with Bruce as long as he did. Perhaps he has a soft spot for Geordies.
Just had a wicked thought. If Pardew gets bladdered in the very near future which could happen considering they are on a downward spiral right now, do you suppose fat Mike would try to temp the fat g3-0rdie to manage at the 0-3 arena?
NEVER? When he was appointed at Hull he went on about Sunderland for weeks ....... when you were promoted it was the first thing he mentioned. And here he is yet again talking about Sunderland when Di Canio went http://metro.co.uk/2013/09/23/paolo-...-boss-4088552/ he did exactly the same thing when MON went. And you're saying he NEVER talks about Sunderland I can easily find loads more links to prove you wrong
I doubt there's been a single day when there hasn't been a Hull poster on here since the last game ............ gone a bit quiet since the 'Bruce slide' started. Di Canio's slide was on his knees ................... Bruce's is always on his arse
