I am looking forward to it, I always enjoy comes to yours. I think two or three of your ex players will be up for this one. I think it will be a good game, and may the best team win, as long as it us.:smiley-finger007:

I'm never on here unless it's in response to a Hull poster on the Sunderland board and that's a fact.

Some of your lot are never off there and there's never a week goes by without at least one of you.

I'd expect there'll be a few Sunderland on here as it's match week but surely that's to be expected.

TBH they should be up for every match, if it's just to prove a point against Sunderland then you have a problem.

How many of them do you think will play on Saturday?

Is Elmo still playing full back or is he midfield, I didn't see much of the Spurs match due to being blind drunk.

It's usually wing-back or midfield. Depends on formation, of course. We'll probably play a back four against you so expect him in midfield.

Do you think you'll play two up front and bypass the midfield a bit?

Poyet seems to be adaptable to tactics but I reckon it'll be quite an open game with a few goals.

Depends how our midfield plays. Against Spurs we did send a few balls longer up the field but that was probably due to their high pressing, we never normally do so.

We'll definitely play two up front either way.

We'll play two up front but when you've got a player like Huddlestone you don't bypass the midfield.

Reckon if the game opens up we'll win it. Sunderland's hope is to lock it down and get a 1-0 win like Palace and Norwich did.

    Wait, you know Sunderland's tactics...how?

They are a better team than those two, they won't play like they did.

I said that's their hope because I think we'd beat them if it was an open game. Any team that has opened the game up against us - apart from the top quality teams - have generally found out why it's best to lock us down. Even at the Etihad we looked dangerous for a bit over a half.

TBH, Newcastle play a similar style to Hull and we were still pushing them back at 3-0, that score flattered them in all honesty.

I think there'll be a few goals in the game, most people are hoping Scocco will at least be on the bench.

I wouldn't say we play like Newcastle much at all, but then I haven't watched that many of their games, maybe someone else would be better placed to comment.

Look at the stats on this page. Apart from the fact the game had a ridiculous number of shots in total, it suggests the score flattered Sunderland only. You had half the shots on target Newcastle did and 12 less shots overall.

As has been said many times before, including on here, stats often don't tell the real story.

Apart from the three goals, Sunderland had much the better clear cut chances that could've resulted in goals.

Some of Newcastle's 'shots' went into the 2nd tier behind the goals <laugh>

Their on target shots barely reached Mannone.

You only had two shots on target apart from the goals so there can't have been that many clear cut chances. I know stats are sometimes misleading but 28 shots? That's one every three minutes. How did they even have time for all those shots at goal while you were constantly pinning them back? Some might have gone into the 2nd tier but Mannone made 10 saves and Krul(I'm guessing he played) made 2.

To be fair PLT, Sunderland were by far the better side.
