If he goes, they could fall further apart, and go down. Ki would surely not be kept on in those circumstances?
Bugger board is split on Laudrup. Some of them may be thinking like me, he aint this brilliant manager that some wanted here. Just a manager who was handed a ready made team that are dropping faster than a Bigg markets lasses knickers. As has been said he clealry didn't rate Ki and a new manager will take him back. I truly hope we have some sort of deal in place. We have previous for taking loanees and ending up reliant on them.
Player power is paramount these days. We've taken a shine to him, he is playing regularly, and if he has taken as much of a shine towards us, if he really saw himself being a SAFC player long term, a SAFC player long term he would be. Regardless of what is going on around him. A new manager might want to draw a line under the scenario as all new managers want to bring in their own players at the first opportunity.
That's been going around for a while now Smug. That's why I don't think we'll get Ki. Once Laudrup goes, Ki will either go back or they'll sell hi on.
They can't take him back this season, and frankly he's so bonded to us now tat if we stay up he won't go back there. Laudrup leaving is inevitable, seems Swansea have already sounded out the highly rated Graham Jones, Martinez number 2 at Everton. I don't think Laudrup leaving will be too big a deal for them, they have a genuinely decent squad, and a new manager will pick it up.
Well we all knew the risks and tbf, we have him until the end of the season whatever happens at Swansea. Lets just see what will be and in any case, the new man who comes in will probably want his own players anyway and may wellsee Ki as a good quick way to raise the money to get them. Any new manager has absolutely no affiliation with Ki at all and wont have a huge war chest of his own without selling. It may work in our favour in the end but whatever happens, we cant worry about things we have little control over can we?
Not at all mate, even with the mis-spell. I really hope we get him, but I see his price going up week on week. He's well known in Europe and I just see big teams, Champions League level, coming in for him, and us losing out. Maybe I'm getting a bit ahead of myself in his apparent success for us, but if the Swans don't go down, he could be ****ing expensive.
Worst case scenario, we buy Borja Valero. We haven't been linked, of course, I just want us to buy him. And Steven Defour, we should sign Defour regardless, a perfect compliment to Ki (or Borja...)
He'll want to stay with us, he's built up a very good relationship with both players and manager, he understands what Gus wants and is enjoying his football, just look at his celebrations when a goal is scored. The lad is loving it. It'll all be down to money as always, EVERY player has a price, I just hope Ellis can see his value and pay whatever it takes.
Want to buy him, Borini and Alonso. If we manage to keep ahold of Ki, i will wet myself. With a little sex wee. He's the player we've been screaming out for for years, we can't let him slip through our fingers. I just hope that as he is South Korean, that helps tie him in with our interest in expanding over there.. possibly why we sold Ji, because we're a sure thing to keep Ki!
