Uh oh bogey team. Visions of Glennon being lobbed from just inside our own half by the that Tipton kid at BP, come flooding back.
We won 4-0 the last time at the KC.. Lincoln legend Delroy Facey got a brace.. This is a match where the likes of Cullen, Ghilas, Atkinson, Cooper etc will be expected to stake their claims for a bench place
Ah trip down memory lane with this one isn't it! Hope we do better against them than we did when they beat us 3-0 in the FA Cup first round in 2002, plus that 3-1 defeat against them earlier that season when winning one 1-0 was particularly grim.
I remember being dicked 3-0 at Boothferry in the FA Cup in 2001/2002, - Whitaker, Tipton and Lightbourne, if I remember rightly.

Out of interest, have we ever had any good results against Macclesfield aside from the FA cup in 2004?
I might be wrong here but didn't we beat Macclesfield in extra time in the first round of the league cup in 1997-98, the season we went on to beat Crystal Palace and play Newcastle at St James'?
Ah, you'll get me all nostalgic. Them were the days...Ian Wright (not that one) scoring at Fer Ark to beat Palace (or did he score in the away leg)?, the first time in my living memory we'd beaten a top flight side. Unfortuantely I didn't make the trip to Selhurst Park for the return leg but remember being glued to Radio Humberside and going mental when we got the result on away goals then the thrill of the draw to be drawn at Newcastle. The City fans made so much noise that night and despite being undone by an Ian Rush and Des Hamilton (later of Grimsby fame) goal it was probably the third best City atmosphere I've ever been in (second to Wembley and Emirates even though you didn't ask). Sigh....those were the days. Sometimes I wish we were **** again and we could get well excited about games like "The thriller at the Villa".
Ian Wright scored in the away leg. Duane Darby got the winner at Boothferry. One of the very few "giant killings" I've seen us in. Wasn't Attillo Lombardo their manager that night?
Aye remember the defeat in the cup and Whittaker's good free kick in stoppage time at the kc. Didn't Richard Hinds score a special goal in that game and all? Interesting draw. Forest v County Leeds v Bradford
I think it was the same year, also i think it went to extra time in that game as seem to remember people leaving thinking we had gone out, then rushing back in when they realised it was going to extra time! The Palace game away was great, i still hold it as my best away game. i had not been supporting City that long and was amazed at how mant City fans where there that night!
Yep, definitely extra time - can't remember how late we got the winner but I certainly remember preparing for a penalty shoot out.
