The prospective owners apparently bought a player when they weren't eligible to do so....and tried but failed to bring another 3 Cagliari players in on loan. They may be all above aboard and just jumped the gun, but they also sound like a long line of dodgy owners around at the moment. They don't understand the British fans...can understand Leeds fans fearing they will lose their club.
The club would like to make it clear that Brian McDermott remains our first team manager. He has not been dismissed from his post as has been suggested and we look forward to him continuing in his role with us in taking Leeds United forwards.
I'm confused - why is David Connelly on loan fom Portsmouth (18th in league 2) and scoring the winning goal for Oxford (3rd in league 2) ?????????
Because Pompey somehow went from having no players to having far too many players, and consequently they've loaned several out. Rare that you loan out of a coach, though...hope they haven't overextended their finances.
No idea, given that he's likely to be dismissed again if the new owner clears the necessary hurdles and takes control.
Anyone notice Kevin Phillips bagged the winner for Leicester at Cherries today? Not bad for a 40 year old. I played against him in his last season of non-league football. His team was top of the Southern League and mine were sitting second; a real top of the table battle. We outplayed them and lost 5-1 at home. They had this lad up front who destroyed us by getting 4 of the goals.
I know a lad who played non league with Kevin ,always said he knew him very well even going on a lads holiday to tenerife once with him but none of us believed him,but Sunderland one year played against Weymouth in a pre season friendly and we went down to watch and he shouted "hello Kevin how are you mate" when the players were warming up, and sure enough Kevin came over and starting asking how his wife and kids were........ Bastard was telling the truth....
