The bottom line is that we were outplayed yet again, Wigan had 28 shots to our 5. Sure we nearly got away with it. We got away with it against Udders because they couldn't shoot, but in the long run it won't happen too often, which is why we are where we are.

I did' nt want to post yet, I'm that angry. Ponders has the right of it. Five more minutes it would have been genius by CP. But the result was fair. We surrendered possession, most of the pitch, and ultimately the points. My heart sank with Pritch and then the next sub. We won' t stay up like that.
The Bright side is the new guys aquitted themselves like men.

More than I can say for CP.

As it stands I think you're all right. Maybe can we return to Gradel for a loan, and get another midfielder plus a defender then we stand a fighting chance.

The service to the strikers continues to be a problem, as a few of us were muttering when the window closed. When you look at the predictions on here, it' s obvious nearly everyone thought we'd lose, and we nearly nicked it. But we lost. Birmingham is hugely important now.
Where is Volly on a night like this? Secret bovril drinker!

Something a bit stronger than bovril, I think. I've had a couple already and now I'm off to a 60th birthday party, so if I'm tempted to post late tonight please make allowances!

the crowd now have a big part to play. The players, many young, need encouragement, and must be as gutted as us. Saturday is absolutely crucial. We only have to overtake Millwall, them, Barnsley and Yeovil are as bad as us, and one will survive. Need a big crowd and a big voice Saturday. If Piotr scores on debut it could galvanise the team. Survival will be decided by our form at home hereon in. Come on you Reds!

Spot on Redemption, no booing the young lads and lets get right behind them and support them we could well have the youngest side we have put out in a long time with Poyet, Cousins, Polish Pete, Fox and possible Lennon or Harriotts reappearing, stick behind the lads, because even if worse comes to worst and we get relegated these are the players who we will rely on to get us back up.

Good posts, Redemption and Ted. Nice to hear from a couple of genuine supporters here.

I would suspect it will be our youngest team ever. I can remember back to the 'fifties, and before that few real youngsters played for first team. Average ages were much higher in League football.
