Don't know? Never noticed that before but it's been hanging in the Dolman bar and in the centenary book. So I think it's the open end.
I do look pissed so could of been anywhere <laugh>

If the top of the stand raked up to the top of the houses it could be the angle of the camera showing the trees in the park.

Alongside the wedlocks pub, I played Sunday league for them and cleaned their windows, another claim to fame <laugh>

Yep the one in White is my younger brother. The one in the red and white hat 4 to the left of me is Kappa who NTTDS knows. This is when 3-4 car loads used to come across from Chepstow. Now it's just me and Kappa who still go :(

    None of them <laugh>

That my friend has been a thorn in my side for years, when a girl said that to me back in the 80's it really bugged me. I did remind her and her sister the other year and both of them said I'm better now. But her sister said she her sister must of been pissed. I phoned him straight away <laugh>

Stood on the open end for years when I first started going. Me and a friend were so small that we used to stand on a stool at the front . Looking at the picture, it seemed much smaller than I remembered it. I guess when you are a kid, the world always looks a bigger place- Fond memories though. Stayed on that bank for years. When I started work, a treat was to pay a little more and go in the Williams enclosure.

It is "Crackers Corner" where the gap is now between Atyeo and Dolman. There aren't any houses there so you can see the trees in Ashton Park.

This is a pic of City fans but not at Ashton Gate. No railings and the front of the terrace is below pitch level. I have no recollection of any part of the old Ashton Gate not having railings or part of terrace below pitch level.
Probably an away FA Cup tie; Aston Villa 1957? Although it was pouring down that day.
