Gerrard's having a good game, but for me the test of Gerrard in that position wasn't going to be the Derby or a game against the Baggies but a game against a really top team which isn't a personal game for him. We've seen Lucas perform against City in the past, Gerrard needs to control those games too. Hopefully he can get used to the role in the ones leading up to such games.

Suarez'z touch is off today but his chip makes that irrelevant!

  3. Suarez and Gerrard need to point it out to him, I'm sure Suarez would have done had he been in Coutinho's shoes.

  4. I think the biggest test is against fast counter-attacking sides such as Villa who raped him. WBA aren't bad on the counter but selling Shane Long has lessened the threat

    dreadfully listless performance from LFC.

one supporter might call it controlled... i'd call it a bit negative and we created nothing so far... we've not precisely gone at this side.

gerrard is actually bossing it while others just don't seem that up for it.

Grew in to it, good away performance and keeping it tight at the back and limiting it to nothing. When SAS are on the pitch they will always create something, so just don't give nothing silly away. With that said, I feel as if West Brom will race out of the blocks in the second half, keep it tight for 10 then push for the second.

Going forward we don't look quite at it, apart from Sterling who's looked good. Think we've been alright defensively, certainly look controlled there but plenty of room for improvement.

Thing is, even when we don't look that great going forward we've got 2 players than can create something out of nothing which means teams are always weary when attacking us.

Except for one occasion when Flanno was caught on the ball he has been solid today. This game is now all about concentration and not letting them back in.As they become more desperate we can catch them on the break for goal number two and finish it.

Yacob obviously asking Gerrard to be booked... should be getting a 2nd yellow for that rather than a talking to.

Dangerous area to give away a free kick with Brunt's left foot though.

FS stop giving them the ball back by running straight at them or standing still

Mig's looks as if he is struggling with the sun. If only someone could invent something to combat that situation....like a bl**dy hat!!!!!

This game is starting to look like those early season ones where we tried to hang on to a 1-0 in the second half

Suarez did all the hard work, then hits it straight at the keeper when 1v1
