Sunderland v Hull Sat 8 Feb 15:00 Hull v Southampton Tue 11 Feb 19:45 Cardiff v Hull Sat 22 Feb 15:00 After a disastrous January we need to get going in February. Long and Jelavic look to have struck up a good partnership already, Brady's a worry, hopefully Aluko will come back and stay fit. February isnt going to relegate us but if it went well it could almost guarantee safety. So how many points will we get?? 5 would be a good return and make us unbeaten for 4 games. All must not lose games really.
so 1pt already, I'd take another 4pts from those remaining 3 games. my crystal ball tells me heavy defeat at Sunderland, bounce back with a draw against Saints then win away at Cardiff, Bellamy getting escorted away by police after half an hour for punching a fan.
No reason we couldn't get three wins from those, I have a feeling our form is turning. 33 points at the end of Feb would basically see us safe.
What are you taking. I'll have some of that ! Be realistic, you've only won one of the last TEN games, you could even be in the bottom three at 5pm next Saturday.
I'm off to the Stadium of Light next week and not expecting a pleasant experience. Hoping to nick a win though.
Not been too exciting for us until recently, then it all happens ! ! We are 4th in the current form table with the Tigers at 19th, that does give me a little confidence for next Saturday.
Form is temporary... Anyway we have brought in Long and Jelavic who look like a great partnership when before we had no strikers, Brady and Aluko are also our two best creative players so missing them was huge and hopefully they are back for our game. The losses we have taken have also been very unlucky on the whole.
How temporary is temporary ? we have only lost one game in the last eleven. Jelavic always scored against us for Everton ! Although I believe we have one of the best defences in the league with O'shea and Brown in the centre and Bardsley and Alonso at full back. Held out against Man City, Chelsea and Man Utd ! Mind you, we're not doing to bad for strikers etc nowadays, Borini and Johnson are a bit hot and now we have Scocco who by all accounts is a bit good.
Not sure if your a WUM or not but Sunderland have played very well recently and Poyet deserves a lot of credit. Yet they are not unbeatable and there is no reason we can't win, our form isn't brilliant but if we played like we did yesterday we have every chance. I would take 4 points from those three as i think it would keep us out the bottom three, but 5 or 6 would be an excellent return.
He will probably play. Not scoring but playing exceptionally well receiving, holding the ball and assists. We leave the scoring to Borini, Johnson and even Bardsley. Probably give Scocco a run out. Bridcutt is the bargain of the season !!! Pleased we didn't go for Huddlestone.
