It will be interesting to see if we play the same way as we did against Everton, or a more reserved 4-4-2. If the latter it could be a long afternoon.
best team possible is on the pitch. the only players we are really missing imo are sahko, enrique and lucas... johnson was awful not sure about his injury or what but he was awful for 6 weeks before he finally got taken out. the reality is that bench is nowhere near top 4. there's not one player on there currently top 4 and only 2 IMO that MIGHT in the future reach the level. IMO we've warm bodies not options. but i guess put enrique, lucas, johnson and sahko and agger on and there you have depth in the defensive areas. Thats why the manager wanted an attacker.
Strange to explain tactics? Gerrard will adjust if he knows and play the ball earlier. Their midfield is hard working we will need to move the ball quickly around them and make them chase.
Best team we could play, hopefully they play with the same urgency that they did against Everton. That's what top teams do, they play regardless of the opposition. That's what we need to do.
I thought the same. Was hoping he'd start on the bench. Hope we don't revert to 4-4-2. Logically can't see why we would. But you never know with Rodger's. He makes strange tactical decisions sometimes.
