He needs to stay out of the media - its got nowt to do with him really - he is an employee of the club and this sort of thing should not be spoken about by players........In my opinion anyway!

Think he just said he would only leave the club if a Champions League team came in for him.

 

He's talking quite eloquently about the whole situation, hasn't really said anything we didn't know already, has no intention of leaving wanted a longer contract (because his missus is pregnant and wanted some stability) club didn't give it to him. Hypothetically if the club accept a bid for him he'll have to consider the club coming in but doesn't want to go, and wants to win something at NUFC.

Re his contract, he was in negotiations in January and he said he would significantly reduce his wages but they refused to the contract length he requested, the negotiations were put on hold till summer.

His agent went to meeting re contract and was told that they weren't even prepared to offer him a penny a week!

His lass is up the Damien so he is looking for stability, hence request for longer contract.

He is determined to stay and try to deliver a trophy before he leaves.

He'll be 'very surprised' if he isn't still here on 1st September.

He loves the club, the city, the staff and the fans and really doesn't want to leave but if a Champs League club comes in and offers him long contract he'll leave with a heavy heart.
