It is extremely tight between teams in the bottom half of the table compared to last season - potentially anyone from 10th to 20th could be relegated.

For example, Stoke beat Man Utd today and are now in 11th place on 25 pts - if they had lost that game they would have been 18th on GD with 22 pts.

    -------------GP..GD..PTS
    9 Southampton 24 7 35

    10 Aston Villa 24 -7 27
    11 Stoke 24 -14 25
    12 Swansea 24 -6 24
    13 Hull City 24 -7 24
    14 Sunderland 24 -11 24
    15 Norwich 24 -18 24
    16 Crystal Palace 23 -16 23
    17 West Brom 23 -6 22
    18 West Ham 24 -9 22
    19 Cardiff 24 -22 21
    20 Fulham 24 -31 19

There is no midtable this season, from Saints upward are going for Europe, everyone below them are battling relegation. Sad to say I think Fulham are done for...

It would be a tragedy if a certain Mr Hughes joined them in relegation.

In previous years I would have been absolutely delighted that Stoke beat Manure.

    Not this year.:(

    Strange that.

Last season we were hoping to stay in the PL with a much bigger gap and our neighbour only lack 3 points (never mind the GD) - there is still some hope for them.

I'm in a bit of pain this morning, nothing serious, just a result of watching Fulham on MOTD. My sides still hurt.
