I think sports direct have a trade in offer on kits . better switch to the best team in manchester now before the rush .
a popular opinion among your fans before the match today was that your new wonder line up would trounce Stoke . Shows what popular opinion is worth eh ? Get that PL cup packed up now , theres a good chap .
I was talking about supporters in general in my post but hey ho whatever way you want to take it. We have tied the blue ribbons on the trophy already, we just need a name to inscribe before we pack it up
I have gone out of my way to say that I'm not saying Mata is a bad player, however I don't think I am alone in saying that I don't think he will make United better, and I don't think he would have made us better. Neither does Gary Neville obviously http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oJkXlA1sF6E As for him being in the to 3, I'd put Cazorla, Wilshere and Ramsey all close to his ability or better, and there are probably at least a dozen in the same area, who you would have problems picking as better or worse. So yes, he is top 20, or so, but does have some serous drawbacks when it comes time to decide where to play him.
where is that annoying wum unitedinred - has he gone into hiding !! or has he now accepted that making up 15 points behind team currently atop the premiership table with only 14 games left is too big an ask. manure to end outside top 4 ? yes or no
Well, that`s me told then. I am still trying to adapt to the superior intellect of some on here so please bear with me when discussing/arguing a point
You believe Manu won't quality for Europe, so do I, how do you think that will affect you next season? Do you believe this will be just a 1 season thing, and you'll be back to your usual place next year? Personally, I think next season you might potentially make top 4 with some new signings, but I don't see United reaching the same heights as before under Moyes, I think you guys will be the new Arsenal for the next couple of seasons under Moyes.
I will be more than happy if we make top four next season, it will be a long time before we get back to where we were (regardless of manager). City and Chelsea should dominate for the next five years with maybe one of three other teams getting the odd title between them. Chelsea could go tits up though knowing their owner.
He's getting ready to 'make sure we know it' when we go tumbling down the league and Man Utd eventually overtake us this season
It is difficult not to see United dropping off a cliff. Personally, I think Moyes is doing it all wrong, but I guess I am not a PL Manager, and don't know much about it. Seems to me he should be rebuilding the team from the back and doing it with several young players, not one or two high risk signings. I realize that United are wealthy, but it is difficult to imagine that they can go out and spend 37M on each of the players they need. Time will tell, but if I was a United fan I would be worried that Moyes no more knows about rebuilding a title winning side with stacks of cash than I do.
There was no better manager in the league, getting the best out of average players than Ferguson. It's not like Manure have suddenly become a bad side, they have been substandard for years and he had them playing above their level. It's impossible to replicate for DM that's why he suddenly looks like a failure of a manager.
I wouldn't say he is a failure yet, nor probably ever, that is a harsh word to use in a difficult business. And I agree he was handed a seemingly impossible task. But it looks to me like he is trying to find a miracle cure rather than taking the hit and doing the hard work. I think he is trying to find the formula for SAF's pixie dust, instead of sticking with what he knows. When Wenger came into Arsenal he inherited a pretty decent side and he didn't screw with the back 4, he stuck with what he knew and we kept the stingy defense, with Wenger's stylish attack tacked on the front. Wenger has, over the years, I think learnt the hard way how to build a back 4 (get Steve Bould in! ) (just joking) ,but he knew enough at the time that he shouldn't mess with that back 4. Moyes needs to do the same in reverse with United. He knows how to make a team hard to beat, so rejig the defense and leave the rest for another day.
Moyes is just an over rated manager. This is what's going to happen at United... They are not a badly run club so they will try and persevere with the Scotsman. However this will just lead to the board throwing more and more money at him in an attempt to get back to where they were. I think he'll last 3-4 Seasons maybe win an FA cup then get replaced.
They might just wait until Guardiola decides it's time to move on from Bayern seeking out another challenge, 2-3 seasons from now, and then snap him up.
Not the worst news for them, the guy's past it, would've been better if he stayed, but the Q is, is Moyes capable of buying a proper top quality CB? We shall have to wait and see, they're going to need 2 top quality CB's, 2 new left backs, and a new right back as well, basically a whole new defence, , somehow I don't see them fixing it all in one transfer window, when they need 3-4 other positions in midfield to be sorted as well.
