You know you suck when Mata has the most tackles in your team on the day? The CAM/Winger had the most tackles. Da fuq are you doing Moyes?
The club is run like a nuthouse. Soldado time has been pure crap but you sort of know he is a good player but it will never happen in a Spurs shirt. Then we have Llamela , 60 million wasted on 2 players. Chadli just a big lump and Paulinho 17 million of mediocrity. Unbelievable.
He didn`t tackle enough for Jose so **** knows how many tackles Hazard and the rest put in. That said, if the ball spends most of it`s time in the opponants half there is always a chance one of your attackers will complete more tackles than any of your defenders.
The trouble is , on paper all those players are credible . Put them in a situation , set em up wrong with the wrong type of coaching and ...........zilch . For the fans its a real bastard , they raise your expectations when they are purchased , then you slowly realise , it aint gonna work ever.
Forgot about Capoue. Tbf I think you are missing a player like Mata or Modric someone to link midfield and attack. Not sure what Dembele is supposed to do.
Totally agree , so many physical midfielders and Modric has never been replaced which is a major bulls-up. The nearest we have is Eriksen but has not been played in the Modric position. Dembele can run with the ball well but do nothing with it another waste of cash.
i thought spurs were really developing on those last days of arry . Bale was getting stronger , Modric , van der Valk ... Pavluchenko .. Then they sack him and it all goes to hell in a hand cart . dear me ...did the wheels come off.
modern footie , as soon as Bale reaches his potential . the vultures start to circle , the chequebooks come out and hes offski . add in a greedy bastard boardroom and its a fait accompli . I was gonna say there is no loyalty but there is , some , in some players. But its a rare commodity .
Your best side in recent times, IMO, was two season ago with the likes of Modric, Bale, VdV, Defoe and Lennon and Scotty Parker. Never had a better opportunity to crack the CL (and actually did if it hadn't been for Chelski). Was well balanced and dangerous. Current side is unbalanced and not very creative, too many ballwinners and not enough movers. Why you sold Defoe only the club knows... needed a new striker, and someone who can create, and maybe a new winger.
yeah that squad needed a bit of fine tuning , instead it got scrapped completely........lol . To me it seems like the board wanted too much too quick. Instead of building on a (basically) solid foundation , they wanted a quick road to immediate success. they should be villified by the fans for fucking up so royally and expensively .
Liverpool has shown both of us the way by keeping Suarez against his wishes. He has on his own lifted them into the top 4. On another note , the viagra clubs City and Chelsea have destroyed real competitiveness for silverware . They have come monetary superpowers . I feel sorry for a club like Arsenal that has everything in place but will find it really hard to dominate again. Under our leadership we don't have a monkey's chance but you are far nearer. Fair play means as they are and will sponsor themselves indirectly.
I guess we will continue to do it our way . Cant see us , under Wenger at least as he is somewhat set in his ways , anytime soon joining the spend spend spend champagne set . Arsenal might go for donkeys years without winning fack all but , at least when they do , they can say they earned it by merit and not bought and paid for it with nought but cash . If city win the league people will shrug and say .".meh so what " If Sunderland did it , it would be " fucking hell !..well done lads. "
ENIC who own Spurs are loathed and seen by many as the root of the problem. Surprisingly there is a body which I think is a minority that are very supportive. We live in a country where people are very conservative , not naturally radical and take **** for a long time , so we are stuck with them till they can sell for a massive profit.
Have to agree with others, the spurs team of a couple of seasons ago under 'Arry looked like a proper top 4 team. That was their best opportunity at trying to stake their claim at the big boys table but they decided to sack the manager and dismantle his team in favour of a manager who had just failed at a top 4 job - with the blame being put on him not being able to manage big stars and wanting a long time for a project. With spurs wanting instant success it was always going to be unlikely that AVB would succeed. Now their team doesn't look particularly worrying tbh...
