Hate to dampen the mood, but hearing that Leeds United's new owners have sacked Mauricio Pochettino !!
I am re-thinking my position on Lallana. He has been very good all season, but I feel like the last month or so he's even stepped it up another level. He had one pretty awful game I think it was Everton(?) but other than that he's been fantastic. What's scary is that Lallana's finishing has improved at the same time Rodriguez's passing/awareness has improved.
Gallaghers movement was impressive again in his cameo. But for a tight offside goal we would all have been celebrating his first league goal!
My mate was doing his UEFA A license at St Georges Park when England were there and he said that Lallana's technical ability was the best there. You'd be surprised by who he said was next ...
If anything there's actually Southampton favouritism now. We get a lot of attention for the Englishness of our squad and Hodgson must surely watch us more than most other clubs.
We have a lot of "borderline" players too, it's getting closer to decision time for Roy with those friendlies.
Yep. It's all certainly contributed to our 'positive profile' in the football media right now. All the more interesting for the fact that we have an Argentinian manager employing progressive football hailing from Bielsa, who I think is South American. We are the way, we are the Southampton Way. Hmm, bit carried away there.....
Lovely to see Rickie on twitter looking like the old Rickie...so happy and humble. Said how proud he was and looking forward to scoring his 101st league goal. Described his time at Saints as the best 4.5 years of his life.
