"CONFIRMED. Lee Tomlin joins Boro on loan until the end of the season with a view to a permanent deal." Baldwin is 20 years old and described as very similar to Ryan Bennett in style. Quote from a former Hartlepool Manager: "Baldwin is a versatile footballer who can play centre-back, right-back or central midfield. Former Hartlepool manager Neale Cooper likened 18-year-old Baldwin to a 'young Alan Hansen' praising Baldwin on 'the way he reads the game'."
I must admit to feeling a little bit of optimism. Shaun Jeffers has been swapped for Conor Washington and with Lee Tomlin going to Middlesbrough for a fee that has to be in excess of the £2 million offered by Celtic that was rejected, this has freed up wages and cash for the purchase of Jack Baldwin and 2 other, as yet undisclosed arrivals. We seem to be getting back to the type of player we had a couple of years ago, young, hungry and skillful. It is my belief automatic promotion is beyond us but I will take another play-off Final to rival the win over Huddersfield in 2011!
Dont know if im the only one glad lee Tomlin has left posh hopefully the dressing room will be quieter in a good way and posh to get back to winning ways
New Centre Back signs for Posh (probably one for the future) http://www.theposh.com/news/article/20140205-posh-secure-santos-signing-1341777.aspx
Posh have signed Ben Nugent on loan from Cardiff, a 6' 5" Centre Back. Looks like Brisley's position in the team is under threat
He played on loan for Brentford earlier this season and they are above us so i guess he could do a good job
