Almost a perfect day after the disappointment of not signing anyone. Win tomorrow and we're 9 points, NINE points ahead of utd and 5 clear of Spurs. With Arsenal coming next week, it's a cushion that would be a massive boost and perhaps allow us to play our game v Arsenal. Jesus, what a chance we have been given today! NOW GO AND WIN!!!!

Moyes is such a tw@t - the moment he gets Mata, he drops Januzaj <doh>. Dog chasing car indeed.

They may well be, but their midfield is as good as Northampton's and their defence isn't much better either <doh>

Fair play to Everton, they dug in and got the win.... Utd...... Dirt no luck excuses excuses, hard place to play and so forth. In the end we have to make them pay and push Everton back so we've breathing room for the arsenal game

Yeah, Derby result aside, Everton are showing why they are currently our greatest rivals for the top four.

If you think our transfer policy is shocking, look at this from Arsenal <laugh>

"New Arsenal signing Kim Kallstom is set for a spell on the sidelines with a back injury that was discovered in the medical before he signed on loan from Spartak Moscow.

"The 31-year-old Sweden midfielder sustained the problem on Tuesday while playing football on a beach during Spartak's pre-season tour in Abu Dhabi.

"He informed Arsenal of discomfort upon arriving at the club on Friday but, despite an MRI scan showing no damage, a CT scan found an issue with his back.

"The Arsenal medical team provided manager Arsene Wenger with the prognosis, but it was decided Kallstrom would still join and undergo his rehabilitation with the Gunners.

"He is expected to miss at least Arsenal's next six games, in which they face Crystal Palace, Liverpool twice, Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Sunderland.

"Kallstrom did not train with his new team-mates on Friday or Saturday and will briefly return to Sweden and Russia before moving to London and beginning a course of treatment.

"The former Lyon player, Arsenal's only signing in the January transfer window, joined on loan until the end of the season to provide cover for injured midfielders Aaron Ramsey and Jack Wilshere, plus the suspended Mathieu Flamini."

P.S. Great day at the office and we weren't even at the office ;)

United have so many donkeys or oldies who Ferguson flogged and aged beyond their capacities and years. They're now mentally not in the battle, floating in a power vaccuum. It is quite unbelieveable the amount of cleanup needed there. United weren't thinking proactively for sure. Noone of worth to sub in defence or CM. Yet on paper their offence is worthy of us keeping our guard up for a while longer.

Their rebuild is not small, of their current team, I think De Gea is quality, Jones will make a decent CB, the rest are either too old or too ****e.
Midfield, Mata, Jacuzzi, that is it, Carrick is OK(ish), but he too is getting on a bit, rest of that midfield is pony, the walking Microphone isn't a ManU player!
Rooney, RvP (if they stay, may not if no CL footie..) and Chick-pea-soup (good option to have on the bench IMHO)
So, based on that (admittedly, harsh in places review of their team), they're gonna need at least 5-7 high quality players to come in, even then, if they do get these players, is Moyes the man that will be able to mould them into a decent team?

In short I'm pissing myself and in all honesty couldn't give a flying phuck!

Would say that's about right. Forgetting the players you mention the word that comes to mind is underwhelming. Where's the flair? It's done one, up Bridgewater Way, along the Mancunian Way, down Ashton Old Road and up Alan Turing Way.

    Moyes... need we say more?
His latter day Everton sides, started to be play some decent football, but that was more power and pace based rather than ball retention/flair based!
He doesn't have it in him to play expansive football that is required nowadays in the league and esp. in Europe.. well, that won't matter next year anyway <ok>
