Now that Danny Fox has gone, has Victor been promoted above Guly as the player to moan about. We have to undermine at least one of the team, don't we?
Everything I've ever said about the relative merits of Cork and Wanyama is painfully being demonstrated. Please, a substitution (then hope we win or bang goes my cred!).
Sorry, but Wanyama is having a shocker. Fulham getting to many chances, but they look vulnerable to crosses so maybe we could try a few more of those. Lambert should be a weapon we can use from them.
Corky must be laughing his head off on the bench, How the hell he's been dropped for Wanyama is incredible. Absolute dribble half.
Truly dreadful first half..pacing poor, can't move the ball from defence to attack. Resorting to hitting long balls. Lalana hardly had a touch and Rickie not getting any service. Ref booking every time Saints foul Boruc keeping us in this game at the moment as they are taking advantage of Shaw being up the pitch when counter attacking as no cover being provided Shocking! MP hair dryer required
Fulham are playing much much better than they did at St Marys - I think they were the worst team we'd played so far (perhaps Palace?), but on this evidence they look much improved and are picking at our weaknesses quite well. I feel both Schneiderlin and Wanyama's yellow cards were a little harsh and leave us with a problem in CM as neither of them will be able to put in 100% tackles, so we might need a change at some point. Lallana looking a real threat when he gets the ball, but Fulham are restricting him quite well. Lambert looks slow and out of sync with the game, it seems he's being played nowhere near to full fitness and at the moment doesn't give us enough of an attacking outlet, I expect to see Gallagher in the second half.
Considering we were very sloppy for long periods of that half, to come out of it on level pegging with the bulk of possession is certainly a silver lining, although I think Fulham should really have scored. Not one for over-reactionary subs but would be very happy to see Cork on for Wanyama, especially since he has been booked. It's not just that Vic has been poor and Jack excellent of late, but this just seems like the perfect kind of game for Cork whilst it's the kind of game where Vic is really a bit of a passenger.
