just heard adam johnson rumours back in the mix apparently 16 mil bid been accepted is doing the rounds again

would be the best signing of the summer imo. runs, can cross a ball, and is clever with his feet plus can bag goals bargain at that price

I don't know about any of these to be honest.

IMO johnson hasn't learned much baout application at city unfortunately. One common theme in players who leave chelsea and it seems city too is they don't have the hunger or work rate.... I'll view jonhons with an open mind if it is true.

Same goes for mata, jeffren or whomever arrives, all are risks and we hope they work out.

I would love to have Johnson come here, seeing as city look like they may get Sanchez it would make sense if the rumours are there. Although I have a feeling city would rather have him as a squad player wasting away instead of selling him to us.

for me villa are going to find it hard to replace these guys so are going to fight for downing hard.

young is gone and we all know it...but i feel the press are making a lot of stuff up so his final destination could suprise a lot of people. they sold milner and didn't replace him well.

thier youths are very very good and coming through but i don't see them picking up the bargains like they did with those 3.

Sadly England aren't allowed to field Barca players. Spain were brilliant, though, especially against that German youth we were lectured by the media was the key to success.

I'm sure I saw that story last week where it named several of the usual suspects - Utd, Chelsea, Real, etc etc - but for some reason we're being singled out as rejected.

 

the johnson rumour was on a twitter feed by an irish pundit called eamon dunphy i think name could be well wrong tho lol he said a bid had been accepted and mancini didnt want him at city.probably horse carp but you never know

Liverpool are planning a £9m bid for Sao Paulo attacking midfielder Lucas.

Real Madrid have claimed that they are in talks with Liverpool about Argentine midfielder Fernando Gago.

I thought we signed Lucas from Gremio years ago!

And have we already bought Gago? And are Real Madrid trying to sign him from us?

decent article in the sun today, well its hard pushed to be called an article but an exert and i know shock horror - in the Sun!

we have an awful lot of players who we are unable to shift due to the ridiculously high wages we are currently paying for them.

Jovanovic - £110,000 a week wages! that is just jaw dropping
Cole - £100,000 a week wages
Poulsen - £73,000 a week wages

These players are nowhere near the starting line up and they are being paid as if they are the cornerstone of the team! we cant even shift them on as interested parties just baulk at their wages...no one will want to buy these players and we are stuck with forking out for them, i dont understand why clubs offer players such long winded contracts especially players who dont have any sort of longevity

i can understand a 4 or 5 year contract for a young rising player but anyone who is over 25 should not be given such a long contract

 

now shaq, i'm not gongt o even disucss that seeing the newpaper you are quoting.

look go to the mirror and you'd find articles like that.... but i aint discussing it!

every other paper links snachez to city... whos AGENT said city were favorites, so what does this stirring paper do... stirs the pot be basically calling him a utd target.
