I don't think Ashley has a grudge against the fans. He simply doesn't care about them -- there's no entry for 'fans' on the company accounts' balance sheet.

Only thing I can hope for is that we will be better when we get Colo Gouff & Remy back. 3 big players for us out. Still absolutely no excuse. Terrible performance.

Pardew's Newcastle - they love achieving things that we haven't managed for years.

Right... I've been as magnanimous as natural after defeat. Now to treat every incoming Mackem gloater with the unnecessary spite they expect <laugh>

Not sure I'm bothered anymore. I mean, what's the point? We can't/won't improve the squad, can't/won't change the manager and can't change the owner. Call it knee jerk, but I am pretty close to taking a permanent vacation from football.

Right, I am now off to watch the rugby, where the players will actually show some passion and effort.

I'd be willing to bet that im a better ****ing player than Shola. How can you start a striker who hasn't scored in 28 appearances?? Thats 2 home derby defeats in a row at 3-0. Everyone knew this would happen, i suspect theres going to be some problems tonight.

I also feel the same way. I never thought I'd join the ranks of the egg chasers, but I feel a more heightened sense of anticipation for a rugby union game these days.

Probably because we didnt bother to invest, mate. So it was Shola or Pardew up front. Worst derby run in 90 years. Add that to - under Pardew - never making it past the first round of the FA Cup, 0-6 v Liverpool, 0-3 twice v Sunderland, etc., etc.

I get that Pards has it tough, I really do. But would Gus Poyet have got the same performance from a team with Sissoko, Debuchy, Ben Arfa, et al in it? If Pardew can pick the best eleven players he has, we do ok. Anything outside that box and we're fcked - always have been.

Really the team needs a complete overhaul - owner, manager and quite a few of the players (Shola, Ben Arfa, Saylor, Santon, and a few reserves an 'all).

For me the main problem was playing Shola - all the players were crap... In part it's because they hate being pressed. Our French players in particular do better with a little less pressure and they'll never get it in the derby. But mostly it's to do with Shola (and Pardew's secret love of hoofball). Instant reversion to the long ball nonsense from last season. And the same outcome.

Apparently with 20 minutes to go we'd already attempted 194 long balls, of which 0% were successful!
