    West Ham winning and Sunderland winning.

    We really do need to beat Cardiff today

    Sunderland are playing really well.

    I don't think we need to win today but it'd be nice to keep that cushion we have, especially with us playing Man City next weekend.

    Unless I've worked it out wrong, Hull, Palace, WBA and Stoke COULD all go above us if we lose. Then we will be in the bottom 3.

    That's a lot of ifs though and is pretty unlikely looking at the fixture list but it would be nice to win today and not even have to worry about what is going on below us.

    It's a six pointer really because we can get ourselves over the hill to safety with a win, but it's important that we don't give Cardiff 3 points to keep them down the bottom.

    I get the feeling the bottom 10 will be really, really close this year.

    <laugh>

    Andy Carroll has been straight Red carded!

    He will miss our game against them, that has got to be good news.

    Takes a swing at Chico's face. Sort of catches him on the forehead. Definite red IMO. Chico was worse than Johnson with his reaction.

    3-0 to Sunderland now.

    They've been very impressive today. If they keep playing like this they'll have no problem staying up.

    and to think Newcastle were on another planet against us on Tuesday night! A bit like Fulham, they beat us then get spanked the following week, makes me feel depressed <wah>

    Yet Newcastle still racked up 25 shots today (so far), 10 of them on target.
    Looks like they need to visit a brothel to get some practice in this week <laugh>

    At least we didn't lose against Newky.

    Sunderland suffered from letting Di Canio tear the place up and now they are getting back to where I would expect them to be. Poyet may be a bit odd but he certainly knows how to inspire players.
