Largely correct. In the 1910s and 1920s we were the best supported football team in England (and probably Europe) but like United in the 80s we won little. United did very little in the 10s 20s 30s and only started Winning things late 40s again
The era we were best supported was the 30's, 40's & 50's. We put up 4 or the top 10 all time league gates. It never ceases to amaze me how many people make themselves look total ridiculous when they don't have a clue just how big we were.
Chelsea won a European trophy before Liverpool as did Sours, United, Leeds even Newcastle city and hammers too. Dippers are truly the jonny come lately of European footie (especially if you judge history purely by trophies which they do)
How sad are you? You've been shown to know **** all about our historic size so you're grasping at straws. You sad pathetic little man. Honestly, your immaturity is stunning. Grown man. grown man my arse.
It's weird how a Sunderland fan is jumping to the aid of United bringing up History when it has **** all to do with anything.
It's because nothing he says about his own club even compares to us so it's more a case of using anything he can be beat Chelsea with. It really does show just what a sad pathetic loser he is.
Didn't it all start when you tried to be all Billy Big Bollocks Massive Club and mock them for having low aspirations?
The best player in their history wanted to play for us, which is good enough for me. Have a look at the history books before typing.
What is it with fans and making stuff up? Liverpool fans make trophies up and now a chelsea fan making stuff up.
Not at all UIR. You can even throw the FIFA yak herder's cup in if you like but then our two Super cups come into play. http://www.sportingintelligence.com...nited-win-20th-english-title-to-close-220402/
Ridiculous that FA Cups only get one more point than League Cups when you think how important the Cup was until the 90s, and the League Cup was nothing til the 80s http://www.timeanddate.com/countdow... Moyes Time Left as Manchester United Manager
Yeah, but the reaction to Utd going out in the semi to Sunderland and the jubilation amongst the City players at Upton Park after the final whistle shows its still seen as important. I think the FA Cups demise came when the CL came into being and managers wouldn't risk players as much as in previous seasons.
