Ian Ayre. What a guy. Another transfer window he showed his competence as our main transfer negotiator.
Lets face it, he's just not the right man for the job. Corporate deals he's great at, Transfer negotiations.... his list of failures keeps increasing. Perhaps someone to work along side him, someone who can get the job done
Well we have all these people like Ayre and Hogan and lots of other very clever (so I'm lead to believe) people. I really don't care I'll be shouting at the fellas on the field and calling each and every ****ing one of them a twat if they fail to do the business on the pitch, I'll just keep doing that.
Exactly. We all roughly know what a player should be doing on the pitch and are capable of seeing for ourselves whether they are performing to an acceptable level or not. The likes of Ayre and Hogan are working behind the scenes, it isn't possible to fully know what they're up to
There will be calls for Ian Ayres head on a plate after this transfer window debacle. The sneaky Russian played his part in this mess but responsibility has to lie with our main negotiator. 2 and half months chatting up Salah only to lose out to a Chelsea one liner ffs. Then this whole an shambles with Konoplyanka. Add to this the summer of Will.i.an and micky tarian and diego costa. We ended up with Aspas, moses, fat djimi traore , luis alberto , thiago illori and Sackho. 5 duds and an above average signing. hmmm at least all the lads can get free vauxhall's and donuts so its not all bad
Well you'd better direct your demand to Tom Werner or John Henry. I somehow doubt they'll take any notice.
They will when I'm waving my arse in Linda's (lovely, lovely) face shouting "TELL YOUR FELLA TO GET HIS ****ING WALLET OUT"
from what ive been reading theres a protest being planned for the home game v arsenal ... how true it is I dont know. Dave I personally wouldnt sack ayre id just have him stick to what hes good at the commercial side of things
The sad thing is the majority who may protest haven't got a clue about football negotiations or what actually transpired in any of the negotiations.
They may not Dave, but this is becoming a bad habit of missing out on the big signings. Although Hash, Sakho is boss and will prove that. LA and Illori have barely kicked a ball but agree that money could have been used better! Agree on the others though.
Well, the bad news is we didn't get what we obviously needed to address our weaknesses ( The Plank certainly wasn't that) and help us stay in the top4. But the good news is that we still have the bunch of lads who got us to there in the first place so let's just get behind 'em for the rest of the season.
stayed away from the window coverage last night, wake up to find out no players have been brought in, this was the best time to bring in players to push for a top 4 place and ayre and the other numpties have f****d it. a whole month to bring in players and nothing was done, if we get one injury to our main players we can kiss top 4 goodbye. how much money has been spent trying to get these deals done with no end product SORT IT OUT FSG FFS. many will think i am ranting but the brutal truth is the people running this club are inept the couldnt set petrol on fire with a lighter thats how stupid they are. the konoplyanka deal failing was the last straw for me.
Don't go praying to false idols Saint, you'll end up disappointed. Ayre should not be dealing with transfers, yesterday may well not have been his fault, and in isolation there would be no problem, but this is happening too often now.
