Fulham - Heitiga , mitroglu , holtby, kvist , 2 lads from Manure in - berbatov & senderos gone wet spam - done a Watford and got loads of Italians in , fcuk knows who - Ratz has left the sinking ship QPR - as usual - harry cheque book out Arsenal - panic again only Kallstrom in Palarse - Ince, Ledley , Puncheon ,Hennessey , Dann (europes biggest squad just gets bigger) Chelski - Zouma that many , not sure if got them all. Panic or what ?
I hate to say it but Palace and Fulham suddenly look infinitely stronger. Let's hope Ince carries on having a **** season and doesn't cope with the money league. Ledley's a tidy player, how much did he cost?
If you are going to make the pun, go through all the way with it and include the song... I have a Smiths shirt on as well. Just a nice little fact for you lot out there. I agree that it has been a bit hectic. People are saying we overspent for Long and Jela - Fulham spent £12m on Mitroglou. Fulham and Palace do look much better than before though.
Still look the worst team in the league though. But they have a better looking spine now. Speroni Dann Ledley Ince Strong foundations to build a team around for sure.
Palace have done some very good business - think they'll be safe (which is a ****er) Cardiff Fulham Stoke Sunderland and West Ham are the ones we need to finish above - if we can beat Cardiff West Ham and Sunderland away we'll be pretty much safe (admittedly that's a massive if)
I always have concerns with players who come in January, as many take time to settle. I always think they are better the next season. Let's hope this is the case with every other teams signings and ours are an exception to the rule....
It's OK bringing in 5-6 players but each club still has to submit it's PL squad of 25. So in Palace's case that means removing 20% of their current squad (unless they have already moved some of those players out). That's a lot of players to bed in and could hit squad morale. Although Pulis is an old hand at this and will have weighed up the pros and cons I'm sure.
Fulham have strengthened well, Palace signings questionable, Ledley and Ince have never played in the PL Dann has been in a poor Blackburn side.
Palarse - Ince, Ledley , Puncheon ,Hennessey , Dann (europes biggest squad just gets bigger) I'm another who looks at Palaces signings and don't see any of them as 'strengthening'. It's alright buying loads of players at once but then they all need time to fit into the team and who knows if they'll even play well together. Ince has clearly just gone because Palace offered him the best wage until the Summer. Can't see him performing to his potential, Has he even played in the Prem? Ledley is a good signing but another who i don't think has played Prem football? Puncheons out on loan that much you can't keep track on whether he actually plays good football or not, has some Prem time under his belt though. Hennessey i don't rate at all. He does have Prem experience, however the season he was in goal they got relegated. Scott Dann is probably their best purchase if they play him properly.
I see Palace as a stronger squad, they only had Jedinak with any outstanding technique, Ledley is a Koren type in that he doesn't influence games but strings together nice passes. Sort of player I thought Tom Cairney might have become. Ince is in the same boat as our Aluko or if they're or he is unlucky, Zaha. We'll see Puncheon is useful, a scrapper who you need. Hennessey no great shakes Scott Dann, good solid CB, was great at Brum.
