Brian McDermott: Leeds United manager sacked


Leeds United have sacked manager Brian McDermott, reports BBC Radio Leeds.
The 52-year-old's departure comes with Massimo Cellino, the owner of Italian club Cagliari, close to an agreement to buy a substantial stake in the Championship club.

McDermott was appointed as Neil Warnock's successor in April 2013.
Leeds won 15 of their 36 matches under McDermott but are winless in eight games and lie 12th in the table, eight points from a play-off spot.

Feel sorry for Ross, don't know why he is on the phone to sky sports news, he has said if he had known earlier he would have had a big decision to make. Sounds like if he could he would leave, but doesnt think it will happen, was very careful with what he said though, maybe he is staying.

 

Sky are stirring the **** and trying to get Ross to say if things have changed and what if another club comes in.
Ross says he's gutted that Maccers gone and he wishes he had known earlier. He sounds like he'd go if someone comes in now.......but the way sky are going about it is outrageous.

Can understand Ross being gutted, and wouldn't really blame him for leaving tbh
