... well when they were still doing it at Sky http://www.dailystar.co.uk/news/lat...ay-and-Richard-Keys-sexist-behaviour-surfaces I may be a sheltered hill farmer but I thought this sort of thing had stopped.... I only whistle at my sheep... poor woman in this day and age to be treated by her colleagues like that http://www.dailystar.co.uk/news/lat...ay-and-Richard-Keys-sexist-behaviour-surfaces
Well I know if a footballer did that they'd be criticised like crazy! Doubt much will happen - they only work on Talksport and abroad now.
Is this really a big deal? It has to be put into context. If a woman finds it offensive then it's an issue but people getting offended on her behalf seems unnecessary for what is essentially a bit of laddish banter.
gray and keys are dinosaurs who thrive in a patriarchal environment--a pair of toady self serving eejits--like some has been comedians, they appeal to those of a narrow mind and a fear of women .
Laddish banter it may have been, and what goes on between consenting adults behind closed doors is no-one else's business etc etc - but this was done in public and is out there for all to see. That's what makes the difference. Irrespective of what people think of what they said, in saying it, they were simply irresponsible.
A woman should not have to put up with this in the workplace in this day and age. I had a friend who had a thyroid disorder, which meant he put on a lot of weight and two ex army blokes decided to take the piss out of him at work...... when he went to hi bosses they did nothing... just a bit of harmless fun they said.... and now he has to work at home....it's a slippery slope.... look at all these prosecutions currently and Dave Lee Travis..... 30 years ago it was the norm...
