Spoken like a Kermorgant aerial challenge; powerfully eloquent.

Not persuading Kermorgant to stay is a big mistake. There must have been quite a big difference between the two contract offers to induce him to leave, because there is no guarantee he will be as successful at Bournemouth. I don't think he ever find a better fit than at Charlton, and with all these French-speaking players coming in he should have felt even more at home.

It is a strange move. I can see a club taking a chance on a 32 year old if they are in a relegation or promotion fight but you would think Bournemouth have the leisure to build for the further future. I just think that for various reasons Kermit is worth more to us than any other club, whereas the opposite was true with Stephens which is why I was always sure he would go.

Until very recently I never seriously thought we would go down. But with first the news about Solly and now Kermit leaving I think we may be doomed. But giving Wiggins a 4-year contract suggests RD believes we have a future at least at Championship level. The signals are very mixed and confusing.

The business with Alnwick is just weird, on top of the odd business with Button. They could both be playing in the Championship regularly while we are in Div One.

Exactly my point Eddie. It is a huge and in my opinion reckless gamble to expect this Polish lad and the un-spellable Iranian to replace a proven performer like Kermorgant.

Introducing young, inexperienced players into first team squads is a really difficult thing to get right. The degree of difficulty is magnified ten fold when you're attempting to bring a player through at a club that's:

    A) In a real dog fight at the wrong end of the table.
    B) In a foreign country where the style of football is potentially alien to the player due to them having never kicked a football there before.

Our very own Mr Pigott is all the evidence you need of when a youngsters introduction isn't timed quite right. Big game against our fierce local rivals, awful performance (occasion got the better of the young lad in my opinion) = Confidence absolutely shot to s**t.

Hence his loan move to Gillingham in order to rebuild one of the most important qualities for a footballer to possess... C O N F I D E N C E. Sometimes for a young player it's harder to come back from a big dent to your confidence than it is a physical injury.

Both our new front man need to be afforded time to adapt to the Championship. Will they get that opportunity...?

    Like f**k they will.

Simeon Jackson is moving for sure, on Twitter just wished Eintracht Braunschweig all the best for the season... no idea if it's us or Millwall he's going too

No longer a top priority for us. We need a right-back and one (ideally, two) midfielders before another striker, and RD is evidently careful with his money.

Spot on Eddie! All the forwards in the world won't score goals if there are'nt players behind them feeding them quality ball. I don't care where they come from or what languages they speak, but we are still light in the middle and RB, and we need players aged 23+

You will be in trouble if our Alf Garnett brigade stumble on your post.

I think Chris Powell should have saved the game the night before the takeover.

You have seriously weakened our playing strength with your confounded "ins" and "outs". I hope you are thoroughly ashamed of yourself! Time to send you on a suicide mission to take a German machine-gun emplacement. You would still have more chance than our lads tomorrow.

WE've got enough brigades already, what with the Powell Out Brigade, The Bovril and Cardigan Brigade, the Sir Chris Powell forever Brigade and now the Alf Garnett Brigade. Maybe at Wigan we'll see the charge of the Light Brigade.

Spot on Franco, especially after watching that video it hits home how players also want to stay but it isn't their choice. The last thirty seconds summed it all up.

    Wish Yann all the best.

Always. I'm disappointed you hadn't noticed sooner but that might be because of the time difference.

Captain B, you missed a signing!

From the BBC report on the game:
"Leon Barnett headed over when well placed for the Addicks"
