Indeed. Just had a quick skim of the fit and proper guidelines (here if anyone wants a look) and I'm not sure he would fail them. His past of "defraudment" in Italy was a high profile case that ended in a plea bargain. Now I'm no legal expert in Italy (Mighty? ) but from what I read, accepting a plea bargain is not necessarily an admission of guilt. That could be a difficult decision call for the Football League to make. Additionally they're supposed to consider:
please log in to view this image CARDIFF BID FOR McCORMACK Leeds have just rejected a first approach of £4m for captain Ross McCormack, watch this space El, this one could go to the wire.
LID i think he is still being sued for Embezzlement here that is ongoing so that could put a cosh on things If youre lucky RIP Leeds Utd. if he gets in
Cheers Mighty We'll have to sit tight and wait and see what happens. Trust Leeds to be doing all of this on transfer deadline day. There won't be an owner in place to reject these bids soon!
Im curious would he have to have been convicted of embezzlement in order to fail the fitness thingy. Anyway, if he's determined, I'm sure he can use the son to get past the red tape
From the quick read I had it does seem like they have to be convicted, that's why theres a question over whether that plea deal for the fraud case would count too. I'm sure he wouldn't have put this bid in if he hadn't taken advice from somewhere (Monaco? ) on how to get around it
Whats the betting it will get close to the six million loaned to gfh and is accepted with an hour of window remaining. Wouldn't Ross be a hero though if he refused to go and left them in the ****?
In england you are innocent until proven guilty dont think he has been found guilty of anthing yet Sure it will all happen after he buys Leeds
Leeds would be mad not to accept £4.75m for McCormack, he is not Prem class anyway and that is a massively over inflated price considering we would have taken £3m in the summer
