No progress has been made with interest in Porto pair Eliaquim Mangala and Fernando. Porto's asking price was understood to be prohibitive at well in excess of £40m and the deals may be revisited in the summer.

I don't understand. How can we negotiate with a player and his agent and agree terms without having permission from his club having agreed a fee for him? The club negotiation has to be completed before the player negotiation. So what is the ****ing hold up? If it's the club the **** 'em Mr Ayre jump on a plane and come home. Neither he nor they are worth the effort.

maybe we agreed a fee, but not how we would pay it.
 
16mil for a bloke from the Ukrainian league with 1 year left of his contract? That doesn't sound like a good deal for us and I wouldn't be surprised if the owners did not want to pay that.

But we are only going off rumour and counter-rumour,lets wait and see.

My guess is they will sort it one way or the other.
