If pubs use a foreign satellite provider and the Premier League Logo is showing on the transmission then they can be prosecuted for copyright infringement, Welsh pub just taken to court and summary judgement lodged in the high court, facing costs of up to £125,000.00 for fighting the EPL on the issue, they had used a Danish supplier for domestic transmission and the EPL logo was shown on the transmission. On another aspect of this the Police can issue closure notices to pubs if they feel they need to, this happens around wembley at times and other sports arenas.
