Not quite up a smelly creek but Berbatov could be off to his beloved Spurs, Bent potentially off to Stoke, Dempsey off back to Seattle in Feb. Leaving Hugo and....
Maybe our hand is forced to play a couple of the under 21's?

He's not signed for anyone yet. And I thought it didn't matter who came in as long as Bent, Berbs, Ruiz and Taarabt went?

If we don't sign Mitroglou, I can't see us letting Berba go. Sadly, that might mean we lose out on Mitroglou AND Holtby. I think Mitroglou is turning (in my mind, at least) into the most important signing I can remember us trying for.

I was meant to be going to a meeting in Southampton today, but it got called off. Something tells me I'm going to spend a lot of time online and not get very much work done today!

I don't believe the Holtby deal hinges on Berba going the other way. Holtby is training with us suggesting that the deal is very close. I think the only thing keeping the Holtby deal from being announced is the fact that Adel's deal hasn't been confirmed yet so we can't apply for his registration until that happens.

It's very confusing posting about the same topics on two different threads.

My fault, I wanted this separate for the views on who we'd play if all strikers left! Didn't think it should be on the transfer thread.

    irrelevant thread now.
If I hadn't have posted this thread he would have gone to WH.

So, you all owe me a debt of gratitude if he turns out to be a great signing and bangs em' in every week! if he doesn't then blame Madness!

Saw you post in another thread about relegation too - presume it's a slow morning for Mr Trixter.

It's a bit early to gloat, you're 4 points off relegation with the league position belying the danger you're still in. If you can build a bit of momentum then you might pull clear, and with City away as your last game of the season (and the other 3 from the top 4 coming up), you need to.

8 points?? The last time I checked we was 4 points off safety... as long as we finish above 3 teams we won't be relegated... am I making this simple enough for you? I don't think mitro would be bothered if wet spam finished above us this season as long as we don't go down and next season is when we build..

    You won't.

Anyway, my point was, if "mitro" did choose you over us, I wonder if he regrets it now? We were level on points at the time afterall.

I suspect he would still rather have regular football for you, rather than sitting on our bench so he is probably ok with his decision.

We really must help out some of the less populated boards on this forum - some are so deprived of company that they've taken to trolling our board.

    ^^^^^

Not atall. KUMB and WHO probably have more members than the whole of not606 combined.

It's funny to think that once you go down, that will be all of the Sheffield Utd/Wigan/Fulham Tevez clique relegated, with us still going strong in the Premier League.

The cream always rises to the top etc.........

PS - put money on Mitro to West Ham in the summer. There must be a relegation clause in there somewhere.

    C ya.

What did we have to do with the Tevez/Sheffield United thing? I'm genuinely puzzled at this one. And 'still going strong' implies a club that hasn't been relegated and promoted in the intervening time, which isn't West Ham, is it?
